What wind figures should one avoid to ensure the safety and stability of viewing.

Likewise what wind figures do SGL viewers find are acceptable for viewing and stability.

As a Dob user I find any wind a problem, the main problem being that the scope shakes so much it makes the image in the ep dance all over the place.

When it's windy I use one of my refractors - less surface area for the wind to buffet.

If it's windy I must say my larger scope is a bit of a sail. So I tend to use my baby 10" Dob. It doesn't seem to mind wind. As long as it's not blowing a Gail.
