M45- gentler process!

I redid my M45 that I captured on the 29th as on looking at it again, I dont think I have caught any of the dark dust, just added noise:mad:

Anyway, been at this all morning and am much happier with this now:D

Same details as before 20x5min subs, AltairAstro F4 Newt & QHY8

I have also created an action for increasing star colour if anybody wants it? PM me your email address and I can forward it on, along with how to use it.

Jees - just looked at this on the Observatory PC and the colour gradient it terrible - looks like I need to reprocess again!

Dont do that! Once processed only ever look at it on the processing PC monitor, lol. You'll drive yourself to drink mate.... heheheh!

Last one I promise - I think the problem is that I am closer than when I have previously imaged it and I was trying to get rid of what I thought was noise but it turns out its nebulosity thats not quite as bright.

I always look for that small Gallaxy to the side of M45 (on images) and I can just see it on yours

I know the one you mean, I have not seen it on other images but I did see it on mine when processing.

Cracking image Craig, the spikes do add something to images of M45.
