Haven't observed for almost 4 months - you?

It's very frustrating, especially as in the weeks saving up for the scope, I was spoilt with clear nights :(

What makes it worse, is that I live near a LP free "black zone" nirvana.

Being patient is the only remedy. Astronomy is a "long haul" hobby, where you frequently say to yourself: "Oh well, better luck next year"

Clear skies,

Michael

So I watch the moon rise last night, perfectly clear skies.

Stay up with the plan of observing.

Guess what - open the back door at 11pm - chuffing cloud. :(

How long will the curse last!

It's raining now as I type this. I wish I was a duck, at least I could have some fun. I think I'll come back in the next life as one.

Had a night out at Cumbria Star Party 3 (3 weeks ago, and the first for 3 months). The got out for 1.5hrs Lunar on Wednesday evening. Been a pretty poor last few weeks, and September seems to be shaping up as cloudy/wet/windy up here in Gasgow.

But as has been said before, Astronomy is a long haul hobby - you learn patience.
