Hi, Can anyone tell me if uranus is worth looking at through an 8" telescope.

Every planet is worth attempting, through an 8" scope you will resolve Uranus into a disk, granted it will be small but with approx x250 it will appear like a little blue disk but beware it will be small.

It won't look much apart from a tiny bluish disk. But you will be able so say you've seen it!

I was looking at Uranus last night through a 12'' scope at 190X and it was very small,saying that it was very pleasing to have seen it and to clearly see it as a lovelly blueish disc.

Through a low power eyepiece searching roughly were it was it was aesily picked out by its colour,so good luck.

definetly worth a look it will b small and unglamourous but then you can say to ppl ive seen uranus lol
