Visionary NEOMA 8x42 Binoculars

Good evening,

Another SGL member has recommened these binoculars to me and says they are very good. Although I do not disbelieve him, I wondered if anyone else out there shares the same sentiments as he when I ask "are they any good?"

Never tried them, haven't even got a pair *note to self.. get a pair of bins..

but they 'seem' pricey (although well built) to me and also see they can be found cheaper here

Should be great for birdwatching but a little undersize for astro IMO. A good 10x50 or 15x70 could be had for a similar price.

I'm with Peter... as the advert says...fine for birdwatching or general use...

a £5 pair of 10x50 from a car-boot will show more of the sky...but 15x70 would be far better

I do not doubt they are good binoculars but I recall what Sir PM said to the efect, if you are starting out in Astronomy, a good basic pair of 10x50 binoculars should be your first choice, sound advice from a man who`s experience is without question
