Perseids Meteor 23:58 06 Aug 2011, just checking for Aurora and this came past, very bright & quick! looking North North East towards the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse.

Canon 1000D, 18mm f3.5 30sec 1600ISO.

Brilliantly caught!

The cloud has drawn in now, but I've spent the last couple of hours outside viewing M31 and trying to learn my way around the summer constellations. I was treated to half a dozen or more meteors a couple of which left lovely trails. Makes the evening worthwhile ;)
