Recommended Posts

So here is my M27 with 7 hours of data, im pleased with it but welcome feedback, I think the core is overdone in processing but I can see the outershell developing (I think), i guess if had more processing experience then I could get a lot more out of it /

Taken using the kit in my signature

Thanks for looking.

Regards

Can you tell us how you processed it, that should help you get better feedback.

The detail looks good as do the stars and there seems to even be a hint of the outer halo coming through, maybes its a little oversmoothed in places? Did you use noise reduction?

There is some form of gradient present, did you use flats?

John,

a thousand apologies; yesterday I posted a re-work of your M27 in the wrong thread. This kind of thing I do all the time although that is no excuse. It is now in the right place (I hope!!) and I have the notes I made to accompany the History palette if that is insufficient for your needs. If you need any clarification please ask.

Dennis

It's very well done - and very nice data there!

You might like to apply the followin technique to eliminate the gradient:

Copy the image

Press NEW in PS

Paste it to another image

Blur it 250 pixels

Go back to the first image

Apply Image - Subtract - opacity to taste

The gradient will be no more

Cheers,

Harel
