Nice one! I am hoping these rain clouds clear so we get a look at it close to M15 tonight.

NIce clear night here and the comet was very easy. We had a look in the TEC140 which still showed M15 in the same field using a 26 Nagler. I thought the comet slightly blue, perhaps. Truth to tell I entirely forgot to look for it when it was closer to the globular. They are such intriguing things to see...

Forgive my ignorance, but I'm assuming the comet is the dot with a sort of fuzzy vertical trail in the top left of the picture?

How easy is it to see when not taking images?

I picked it up as a small elongated patch of light with a condensed centre with my 120mm refractor last night. You need an accurate finder chart for it as the comet is moving against the stars a fair bit each night.

I've seen it with both my 200mm reflector and 90mm refractor. It stands out well enough when you get it in the FOV.
