I'm new to this, and I know this is by no means the best picture, having looked at some here they are fantastic and mine pales in comparison. But this is the first lunar pic Ive taken since having the scope.

I have no special equipment, this is my cheapo compact digital camera up to the eyepiece.

But i was grinning ear to ear with the result so thought i would share.

Its a skywatcher 200p 8" dobsonian, the pic was taken through a 10mm eyepiece. I should put it in my sig really.

I'm still getting used to it to be honest, me and the hubby are complete beginners.

a good first attempt, trying to hold the camera at right angle to get the capture is a pain, might be worth getting a cheap digiscope adaptor to mount camera to eye piece, that what i use
