Glorious colours of electric blues and golds. No colours added to these.

Probably the brightest, most dense and most extensive display I've seen to date....really excellent set of images Eddie.

The town on the coast north of me is Sunderland.

I have 58 pictures that I took in the 1 hour that I observed these amazing clouds. My poor scope became a second choice once these where spotted.

Excellent pictures. I saw them too, but didn't get such a generous horizon unfortunately. That was about 11.30pm, and it wasn't half as intense as that.

Was out imaging the M51 supernova and saw them over on the horizon towards Teesside: very weird sight. Excellent images Eddie, thanks for sharing them.

clouded out here again. Hope you get some.

If your unsure, if the skies looking icy blue in parts, look in binos, you'll see what looks like sand on the beach in wave pattern. Thats em. In the 90 minutes I watched them, they changed colour, formation dramatically .
