Grazing occultation -first image at last!

After a near disaster with a flaky webcam and then a knackered computer and a damaged hard disk I thought I would never get any images of the occultation. After recovering them from the hard disk, I now have over 20 minutes of AVIs of the event which I hope to eventually make into a short AVI. Here's the first segment of AVI processed.

Here are the technical details:

8" LX200 Classic with Phillips Toucam Pro II with Baader IR blocking filter.

50 frames with Gamma setting of 80% to allow for large difference in object brightness between Moon and Saturn.

Taken at 02.48 GMT on 2nd March 2007.

Well after stopping up all night and the hardware problems, you deserve to get an Oscar winning movie out of it. The preview looks very promising indeed and I'm looking forward to seeing the Director's Cut.
