Pixinsight Help

[Looking Up]

I've just downloaded a trial version of Pixinsight as it seems to get good press here but I'm a little lost..... Has anyone got a simple work-flow for a deep sky image, just so I can see the results V PS Elements I use now before I buy a copy? Thanks

Thanks for the link johnrt, very usefull, the only thing I don't get is where I add into the mix flats and darks! Any answers guys?

Just to prove that I am not welded to Pixinsight , I recommend that you don't use PI to calibrate your image , not because it wont make a good job but because it is to difficult to use

I use AA5 to calibrate my images and then us PI to integrate the subs , Pi integration is very very good and has powerful pixel rejection routines and image weighing

There are efforts to make things better on calibration and if you look at the PI forum there is a discussion about this

By a little lost I meant totally lost, middle of the Sahara stuff! But looking at Harry's tutorials the sands are clearing - a little at a time! Big thanks to Harry! What is AA5?
