ED80 and DSLR

My Nikon will not reach focus with the ED80 when using a 2" nosepiece, what do you guys use as an extension? Who sells them?

If you just need a 'normal' 2" extension then Scopes 'n' Skies, Telescope Service, theres a lot of places TBH CC.

I've got a similar problem trying reach focus on my TV85 with a 2" 2x barlow.

Got the 2" nosepiece from scopes n skies, very reasonable

I got mine from Ambermile - 60mm long and very solid.

Thats strange because my D70 reached focus with my ED80 using a 2" nosepiece.

Ah, although thinking about it I had an upgraded focuser which might have had more travel than the standard Synta one.

Thanks guys for the info.

I managed to get it focused by using the 2" to 1 1/4" adapter from the 120mm Frac. It has a T thread so I just screwed a T adapter on and slid it into the ED80. El cheapo resulto, as they might say somewhere.

The images came out poor as the clouds were roaming about too much, even to the extent of losing the guide star for a time. The ones that stayed guided seemed to have tight stars so it's looking good. The first lot with fewer clouds were out of focus (makes a change ) so they were no good either.
