Re-Processed Solar Image..

the suns's been a bit quiet today so I've re-processed the image I took on the 3rd March to show solar granulation.

I always think of the suns surface as being fairly uniform.

You've certainly proved that not to be the case.

It's not the most aesthetic image I've ever seen - but you certainly got the image you were after.

Hmmm. Doesn't look much like granulation to me, sorry to say. More like noise or over processing. Is that the full disk? Did you give it false colors or something?

Here's one in white light from Big Bear Solar Observatory to compare. Notice the fine differences in texture across each cell, and the smoothness of the sharp ones.
