Light Pollution Maps??

Hi all

Is there an accurate source for light pollution maps online?? I'm pretty sure I live in a bad area, and would like to compare and also find a nearby dark site if one exists!!

UK Light pollution Map

scroll down to where it says "C- Google Earth files" and click on the picture below that, that opens a download for a .kmz file.

double click on the .kmz file and open with google earth, you sohuld have an overlay of light pollution thats really quite accurate.

Fantastic links everyone!! It confirmed my suspicions that I am in a grim area, but I'm only 20 mins away from a 'dark blue' rated area, if I can find anywhere to park up that is.
