A scope to die for?

The C14 is a nice 'scope but you really need a permanent observatory to make good use of it. You also need a good mount, especially if you are doing any photography. If i was going down the big SCT route (and when I get enough cash to spend on this hobby I think it's a good route) then I would go 16" SCT on a Titan or AP1200.

Believe me Gordon, if I win the lottery I will make a pig of myself.

You can get a brand new one on a CGE for less than £7k

http://www.celestron.uk.com/catalogues/view_item.asp?ItemID=30686&CatalogueID=272&CategoryID=3824

But if you were pushing the boat out you want the 16" one of these

http://www.telescopehouse.co.uk/page.aspx?theLang=001lngdef&pointerid=F25AEA81F1124CDAA07A4B6018CB1079&action=lnk

on one of these:

Cost you about £15k with all the bells and whistles. Nothing to a lottery winner hehe

It looks like this by the way:

Those scopes are all very well but this is a bit more like it from Equinox Interscience.

Cheap enough I guess for lottery winners or certain footballers in the process of moving to America.

Get writing your cheques now.

To answer that question, look at the some of the other stuff they do.

These boys and girls are serious.

Geoff, you are spot on. I had a second look, in depth this time, and serious barely describes their activities.

How rewarding for a person, to be involved in such exciting work. I have to confess my ignorance over one project in particular.

Deep Space Black. I will have to find out more on that.

Thanks for the link.

Barkis.
