Thank you very much Ivor i think youve hit the nail on the head with various comments,im using the c8 edge now for a while instead of my ts optics,which doesnt help and the sombrero was very low just above a bungalow and maybe just below my obsy wall,add that to a few low clouds and my lack of pixinsight skills adds to something im not going to achieve,just done a very quick process with just 3x5 mins worth of subs LRGB with NGC 4565 and got this so dont think my processing is a million miles off(for me anyway)??.Any thoughts?Once again thank you

  10. in fact just tried them and they are not working now,did the ini update you suggested in a previous post a while ago and seem to be working now,first time ive tried for a few weeks,thanks....really need to try having a go with different data but worried about messing my working system up ,any suggestions on what would be the easiest to have a go at,does EUMETCastView process any data i am likely to be receiving ,cheers Alan

  18. Hi all just fancied trying to image the sun with my c8 edge and 0.7x reducer, just wondered what the difference is behind the two brands of solar filter sheets please and any recommendations for making my own for the c8 thanks
  19. hi ive attached it to scope via the nosecone and also at the back of my imaging train where my ccd goes with similar results,if i adjust to make the blue circle ok the red will be out,not sure which is most important ,what scope you using it with?
  20. hi just used the electronic ocal collimator on my c8 edge ive finished with this collimation i think the collimation is ok i have the red circle(outer) ok ,the green middle circle ok but the smaller blue one seems out which you cannot adjust ,any advice appreciated thanks
  21. just looking to reduce the back of my celestron 0.7x reducer which is 2" to a 48mm thread (male) but cannot find one do they exist thanks
  22. Just wondered if anyone had any experince with the Ocal Electronic Collimator,just find it too fiddly doing it in the dark,thanks guys
