  1. well just tried my 414ex ,is it my eyes but does this look better although im now getting what i think are newtonian rings
  2. thanks bought new but ive been told it is oversampled by a lot so may need a ccd with a larger pixel um??

  4. hi just using a quark on a 100mm quad stepped down to about 72mm with a erf filter,using a electronic focuser so i can use small steps for focusing,image taken with a screen grab ,used both an asi 178mc and asi462mc camera,think i should be getting something better any advice really appreciated thanks also tried adjusting quark with the knob on the quark
  5. Hi do i still need a uv/ir filter if i use a erf filter on the front of my quad 100mm stepped down to 75mm thanks

  15. well been round the block and back to the start again,no lunts available,doubts about the solar scout and the odd quark which cant go on my quad scope, so looking again at the quark but with a new scope,can anyone suggest a small scope that will take the quark or what do you use,thanks again

  17. well thought i had found my setup for solar imaging,consisting of my ts optics 100mm quad,quark chromosphere,1.25" uv/ir filter for front of quark and a asi 178 camera,but just been told that because my scope is a quad it probably isnt suited to the quark(heat) ,more confused so can anyone throw some light on it thanks as always
