I used ‘Make Stars Smaller’ followed by ‘Enhance DSO, Make Stars Smaller’ in the Astronomy Tools Plug-In for Photoshop... I found it better to do this at the start of the processing, aster initial stretching, curves etc...

Hi... I’ve just imaged IC1396 with a similar setup to yours except I use an ASI1600MM Pro... After reading various forums about calibration frames I decided not to use Bias frames and, as I keep my camera sensor permanently attached to a filter wheel, I don’t use flats. I used 18 x 420 sec exposure at 200 gain and used 20 Darks and got great results. I know you are using a OSC camera but maybe this will help... Ha frames x 18 after stacking...

Just bought 2 Dew Heater Straps from Tim Duke at https://www.dewcontrol.com He is more than happy to build them with ‘bespoke’ cable lengths. These Dew Straps also have excellent reviews... I have a Redcat 51 and Dew Heater cables have caused a constant annoyance by cluttering up my rig... not anymore... Tim took my order for 2 straps with 20cm cables at 1pm and they were delivered the next day. I run them on a Y-Splitter to one of my ASIAR Pro 12v ports and set at 100% they work perfectly, more to the point the are now super-neat... First DSO I ever saw/imaged on my rig, 120 sec exposure with Luminance filter... single frame but was a massive WoW‼️

Looks like an interesting new way of putting an EAF, ASIAIR Pro and Guidescope onto the Redcat 51... I hope it works out for you 👍🏻 I have a Redcat/ZWO rig and have just done a complete rebuild as I could not find a stable balance point on the DEC axis. My gear was mounted on a Large WO Dovetail Plate but I’ve now gone with the ‘stock’ long plate that came with the refractor... I used the mounting plate supplied with the EAF and put it back to back with the guidescope to mount the ASIAIR Pro... from a balance perspective it now works perfectly... Clear Skies‼️ BEFORE and AFTER... AFTER...
