  3. Clavius 21.02.21 (right) & 23.02.2021 (left). Different conditions of Light and Seeing. Takahashi Mewlon 180c Eq5, no motors (I specify that videos are of few frames) ZWO ASI 224 the images are compressed, come from my FB page. i have upload in this channel the original videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMI1UDD4DHfjNWTiXBVWsMg
  4. Polyphemus Why limit yourself to one eye ..... While waiting for a motorized Baader focuser, I was able to turret the Baby-Mu with Baader Maxbright II with the shortest possible solution. With the two Ploss 25 mm Televue, the moon is a marvel. Too bad the slight parallax that makes the center of the field "unstable" and forces you to look for a specific position. But the benefits compared to monocular vision (in my opinion), are great, in terms of overall beauty of the vision, comfort, resolution, contrast, etc ... I find now difficult to go back to observing (if not for specific purposes) with only one eye. focus is ok from from 25mm to 6mm Accessories used: - I replaced the original rear taka accessories and used a Mewlon 180/ SC adapter (TK-TSC00100) - Baader T2 charger System Complete with BP2456313A and BP2456320 adapters - Baader SC-T-Ultrashort adapter, T-2 (male) / 2SC (female), length 10 mm (component part of # 2958500)
  5. I am really excited ... like a child. I remind everyone, that I resume astronomy now after 25 years, from where I left off, that is planetary imaging. Finally today I can also re-believe, with a planetary webcam, for the first time, the Clavius crater. Mewlon 180c
  6. Absurd convenience in various contexts. One of the reasons why I switched from QHY (I had a 462c) to ZWO ASI (i have any problem with QHY camera, but i prefer the other support). The photos of the lunar surface are simple cell phone screens. ZWO ASI provides a handy app for Android. There are also indirect solutions for IOS, but I have not yet had the opportunity to test them. With the app you have full control of the camera, which is powered directly from the android device. Obviously the battery runs out quickly. You can capture videos or images. To connect the camera's USB 3.0 cable to your mobile device, you just need any adapter or cable / adapter for your mobile phone. At the moment I am successfully testing a USB V2 cable from LIFE, USB socket to MICRO USB type B plug. I find it very convenient for shooting on the fly without big pretensions, for publishing content online in association with other applications, operating comfortably close to the telescope for, for example, focusing and pointing operations, in the case of a distant workstation, etc ... really its uses can be the most varied.
  7. Hi to all I need a suggestion for replacing the original focus knob of my Baby- Mu (180c) with a double speed micrometric one and with the possibility of also electric control. ideas? thanks
  8. 20 FEBBRAIO 2021 Matera (Ita) Skywatcher 120ED, Televue Barlow 2x ASI 224, Asicap, PIPP, Registax few seconds of recording due to the mount without motorization. always my first experiences (my setup among other things under sample)
  9. Hahaha...Don't kill me. This is my first digital shoot on Moon with my first ASI224 webcam (in its first light, arrived half an hour earlier) and with my first Mewlon in its first light. I made a series of videos with mewlon on an EQ5 mount without motorization!, using Sharpcap. Matera (Italy) - 18.02.2021 Mewlon 180c ASI224 (no filters) Processing PIPP + Registax
  10. in my model the disposition of the words is different from the other pics i see.
  11. is TWO Baader Hyperion Mark IV zoom, + 2 Taka Ortho 6 mm ì( or two TAKA LE 5 mm ) a best option?
  12. I already have two Flat Field 12m (which I don't really like) and two 10mm Baader Ortho Classic. (i m talking of 31,8 EP in this thread) I have to expand the set. I tend to prefer projects that are not very complex and with as few lenses as possible. They must be parallax free for bino use (maxbright II). As good value for money I thought of the following eyepieces: - 2 Telvue Ploss 25 mm - 2 televue Ploss 15 mm - 2 TV ploss 8 mm - 2 Baader Ortho Classic 6 mm. some questions: 1) is the choice of focal lengths usable? 2) is it better to replace Ploss Televue with Baader classic Ortho (30 and 18), costing less and having roughly the same range? 3) I'm not convinced of the two 6mm . In fact I saw that the taka holds up well the strong magnifications and there, I also like to have the large field. What do you recommend that doesn't cost a fortune to buy as a couple? or do you advise me to switch to mono-eyepiece on this focal length and aim for only one fine eyepiece? thank you
  13. i'm looking at this: it convert TAKA to SC, so permits me to use all accessories for SC also the FOK. what do you think. with this is more simple to choice more affordable fok?
  14. Hi. 1) a good fok, with double speed/micro and motorization option, for Mewlon 180c? wich model? wich accessories i need removing the original visualback. it is possible with some short fok to use a MAXBRIGHT II with no OCS? 2) which eyepieces do you recommend? i have yet FF 12mm and Baader Ortho Classic 10mm
  15. no one? someone suggested me the use of the 224 with barlow 2x or of 462 with a 1,5 barlow, only with the sostitution of original rear optical train with a short Baader train. with rpghe original train i can use the 178 with no barlow, but i don t like the idea of a sort of crop and “digital zoom” what you think
  16. From today I also have my Takahashi: Mewlon 180c
  17. Hi., I have an ASI 462c (2.9 the pixels). For imaging planets, I oversampling significatelly with a Mewlon 180c (180/2160) ? Wich camera is the best option for this telescope? i have a barlow televue 2x (normal lenght), also. better to change the newer 462 with an older 224 or 178? thanks
  18. I would like to evaluate a compact tube among these, for visual and webcam use on the planets. Which of these, also in terms of price, represent the best compromise between cost / quality / comfort? How do you rate the MAK180 compared to others (major acclimatization problem)? thanks
  19. You think that a fok like this can work? https://www.teleskop-express.it/focheggiatori-/3521-focheggiatore-tecnosky-v-power-per-rifrattori-tecnosky.html
  20. Hi to all. I know that the binocular turret can't reach the focus with the SW Black Diamond 120ED. 1) Can you confirm me? 2) how can i solve? I have a 31.8 "diagonal prismatic, a Barlow 2X TV, several Ploss TVs. I would like to avoid adding OCS. 3) do I have to bray the tube? as? 4) could the replacement of the stock focuser with another focuser be enough? what model? thank you
  21. For visual purposes, or imaging with webcam, for planets you need diameter and focal lenght. There is not story. in smaal refractors the planet disks are very small at hight x. A SC or a MAK are best for this work.
