Instructions looked simple... reality was a bit more fiddly, but at least I know now and am able to adjust it whenever I need to 😃
Do you reckon it's worth it?
I have pondered it for a while now...

Bought the 30mm for my Bresser Dob.
I presume it's not too close to the 35mm limit of an f/5?
Also a very nice looking eyepiece

The Bresser dobs do seem to be catching on don’t they? 🤔. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Aside from the finderscope, they are well designed, well built, good value for money and easy to use. And the 10" is just £86 more than the SW 250px. Which, to me at least, seems like an inferior scope.

Stumbled across this scammy affair today... I just had to laugh at their claims...🤣
wow that bird 10 miles away looks amazing!
At least it has lower viginetting than "Brand 3"😆
"#moonsurfer"
"Get 4 Telescopes at Once"!!!!!
I wonder if they would even deliver anything if you bought one...
This kind of thing should be illegal... some poor person might just believe it...
P.s I hope this is the right place to post... mods feel free to delete if not.

Just a Rigel Aline...
I was feeling a bit daunted by the whole collimation concept but it turned out just fine...
I used this guide https://garyseronik.com/a-beginners-guide-to-collimation/...

Whatever you do never shine a torch on the mirror. Makes even a clean mirror look horible. 😁
Ok maybe I'm being fussy...😄
I'm sure it doesn't affect the optical performance which, by the way, was absolutely mind blowing to me...
Seing M13 as a mass of stars for the first had me laughing out loud with excitement...
I just feel sorry for any poor soul walking their dog nearby as seeing someone wearing a balaclava and a hooded coat laughing to themselves in a field must be pretty alarming😆

Just leave the tube horizontal and leave the caps off for a while until it dries out.
Best not to,put te caps on right away when bringing the scope in. Let the scope get back to room temp first.
Thanks very much John,
I guess it's a, "you learn from your mistakes" situation.
It has also highlighted the unusually high amount of debris on the primary that was there out of the box...
Looks like it's due a clean😁

Tonight I got in about 1 hour of observing before the clouds rolled through...
At the end of the session there was no dew internally but the outside of the tube was very wet.
After returning home I placed the tube upright with the with the cover on and the focuser plug in.
Fast forward another hour I checked on it and both mirrors are completely dewed up!
What should I do!?🥴😬

Likewise, I’ll experiment with and without the riser... if I can get my eye close enough to the tube comfortably then the riser becomes superfluous.
Let me know how you get on with the riser... If it works well I might consider buying one.
Also as a side note, does anybody here know of a cheap way to prevent dew on my telrad... most time i've have is about 10 minutes before its completly dewed up.
It may just be down to the conditions... half an hour later it was completly foggy.

No problem but Johninderby is right, if the spider-vane is bent please check the rest of the scope for damage and keep the box/packaging for a while. It will then be easier for us to collect if necessary.
There isn't anything immediately apparent.
The lens cover goes on ok. So no major deformities in the shape of the OTA.
I will do a proper inspection later tonight.

@FLO thank you so much for that Steve. I super appreciate it.😁 customer service 10/10

I am jealous however you will have yours 1 day early. 😁
Well, as my luck would have it, it has sat in the "at the delivery depot" catagory all day. 🙄 (even though "Your parcel is due to be delivered on Wednesday 04th November 2020")
Watch tonight be perfectly clear and then clouds for the next 2 months.
Although I must say I do live a jolly long way from Exeter.
And a 10" Dob must have a pretty enormous box.😁

So above is my OOUK VX12 f4 on the same brands base. Focuser is a Baader Diamond Steeltrack, and sticking out of it a Televue PC 2 and an Ethos 13mm...
Very nice... How heavy is the Paracorr?

Honestly I felt like a 6 year old on their birthday...
Just through a spotting scope atm, but I saw the pleiades cluster like never before...
(P.S I hope it isn't illegal to put a 1.25" EP into a bayonet fitting... Only slightly wobbly)
