Well I've seen lots of stunning photos of Neowise but there is definitely something about taking your own image, even if its not that great 😁 I'm so happy with this image though, i did not expect to get anything nearly this good with a cheap £25 vintage lens from ebay and my very old Canon 400d 😁 need to get better at post processing as well 😁 and hopefully upgrade my camera

I got myself a 50mm 1.8f canon lens from mpb, they sell used camera equipment, managed to get this of andromeda on my first night, using that lens and an unmodified 400d on a terrible mount, i was still chuffed to bits.

I have the exact same setup at the moment but 400d, on a terrible mount, i got a neewer intervelometer from amazon, its great for the kit i have, i did 50x 2s subs then recentered the mount and got about 400 light subs in total and got this photo of andromeda, to be honest i was so chuffed i could even see it 😁

Hi Folks So i have just started Astrophotography for the first time. Well when i say astrophotography, I pointed my Old Canon 400d and 50mm f1.8 and terrible cheap wobbly mount at M31 and hoped for the best 🤣 Stacked them all in DSS and then Post processing in Gimp (after watching many youtube tutorials) I was totally gobsmaked when i could make out the fuzzy blob and so excited 😄 Its massively over processed and i really don't know what I'm doing but i was still so pleased 😁 (it looks alot better on my laptop 🤣) And so I'm hooked 😁 Only really interested in deep sky objects and looking forward to learning alot from all of you 😄 Been looking at an Evostar 80 Ed Ds Pro and smarteq pro and eq mount already, but not ready for that yet, much more learning to do first 😁 Many Thanks Rob
