  1. Hmm... I've always wanted a larger refractor, currently I have the RedCat 51 and much older ZenithStar 80ED II. They are good wide-field scopes but if I'm going to go bigger (5-6") I'd want a similar fast short tube for imaging rather than the more traditional slower refractors for visual of faint fuzzies. I've looked through some larger observatory refractors in my travels but ultimately I think wind + my mount would quickly get overwhelmed by a larger beast.
  2. I'm hopeful this comet does put on a show for us as the recent "naked eye" comets were much to be desired.
  3. Hi everyone, a friend mentioned I should check out this forum. I've been doing astronomy for about a decade now and I'm starting to get to a point where I feel I can share my knowledge and not lead people too astray. I do have a YouTube Channel where I Post vlogs of my night's adventures - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvgH3AyaJfbjCwrbHGLHOKA/ I mainly do wide-field photography although I'm starting to dip my toes into higher magnifications and exploring filters. Example of some recent work, although I'm hoping to add some Ha data and some additional RGB in the near future.
