  1. Yeah sorry, I was just mentioning what I had seen people using with my particular scope.
  2. Thanks, I have been looking at the 90ed owners thread, some really nice images using the ZWO183MM.
  3. This is my one and only image so far with my StellaMira 90ed and canon 6d, skywatcher az eq6 pro. Same image but two different processes in pixinsight. Pretty chuffed with the results, first time using the 90ed and first time imaging this object. Not sure which I prefer 😀 Thinking of getting a dedicated astro camera for the 90ed, has anyone got any suggestions? Loving everyone images, they all look fantastic. Cheers Rob
  4. Try watching some of the videos this guy has made. I found his information very informative when starting out In astrophotography, it also helps that this setup will probably be as light as you can get but still have good tracking. Good luck
  5. Yes I understand what you're saying and I have been thinking along the same lines, I think I'm stuck on Andromeda because it was the first thing I imaged, so if I upgrade something then I like to go back to it so I can see my progression. I took the image below with the 90ed and 6d I'm really happy with the result, maybe getting my 6d astromodified should be my next move, then update my camera at a later date 😀
  6. Yeah it doesn't fill you with confidence does it 🤣
  7. I will probably go with an APS-C sensor this time, I got my 6d because it was a great camera to start off with, cheap second hand and paired with the Samsung 135mm it really got me excited about astrophotography, would I get another? Yes probably but maybe An maybe an astro modified one. I think the 2600MC fits the bill for the future, and I will check out the problem you mentioned thanks. Rob
  8. Yes I did notice this, I did have to crop quite hard.
  9. Think it's time to start saving for the 2600 😀 until then I shall carry on plugging away with my 6d, thanks for all the help everyone.
  10. Thanks for the info everyone, not sure I understand it all 🤣 I have the 0.8 reducer for the stellamira 90ed already.
  11. So I'm thinking of getting a proper astro dedicated camera, but as the title says I know nothing about them. I recently had my new StellaMira 90ed Triplet out with my trusty Canon6d. I'm was pretty happy with the results as it was the first time I had used the new scope with the 6d. But always looking for that little bit more, I've been looking at astro cameras but the only thing I can base my choice on is field of view and budget. I like imaging Andromeda as it was the first thing I ever imaged with a Canon 400d and a kit lens and I keep going back as it's a nice way to see my progression. Looking at the field of view calculator I would need a pretty expensive camera to be able to fit andromeda in with my scope. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/zwo-cameras/zwo-asi071mc-pro-usb-30-cooled-colour-camera.html#about_this_product Something like this as a minimum. Am Iooking in the right direction? Can anyone advise me on what I should be looking for? Cheers Rob
  12. Yes sorry, with the 0.8 flatener. Rob
  13. Bit more detail, may have overdone the saturation though.
  14. Hey everyone Been a good while since I've posted, RL as always taking president. After having my knew StellaMira 90mm for the last 3 months. I finally got chance to finally use it last night. My first proper telescope and the first time I've had a proper telescope on my eq6 pro I would have liked to have imaged something I had imaged before, so I could compare, unfortunately last night this was not possible from my location. I decided I would have a go at Bodes and cigar galaxys. For my first experience with my new scope and knew DSO I'm pretty pleased. Only done a quick process in pixinsight. No noise reduction so far but I will go back and see if I can clean it up. Hope you like it 😀 StellaMira 90mm ED Triplet, Skywatcher Eq6 Pro, Canon6d, Pixinsight. 176 x 30s subs. 50 x darks, lights and bias. Cheers Rob
  15. Thanks for your advice, I will be mainly using it for astrophotography. Never really thought about visual. What extras would I need to use it for visual? Cheers Rob
  16. So after giving up on ever getting an esprit 100 I decided to take the plunge on the Stellamira 90ed. It arrived this morning and I couldn't be happier, it really is a nice bit of kit 😊 can't wait to try it out. Cheers Rob
  17. Cheers Pal, it was the first time i had set up my az eq6 pro so it took longer than expected lol, my tracking was good though, but the high altitude clouds screwed me over, hopefully some clear nights coming 😀
  18. These images are increadible 😁 i tried Andromeda a few nights ago and got nothing useful, so glad other folks are getting useful data, it's definitely keeping my spirits up 😁 keep up the good work 😁
  19. Looking forward to your images with the sharpstar 😀 i was torn between that and an esprit 100, i went for the esprit in the end 😀 might be here by Christmas 😂
  20. Fantastic image, i love how alot of us have been imaging the same subject so we can compare our efforts with each other 😀
