Hi, i recently purchaed the same mount and like yourself struggled a bit until i came across this. This is part 3 and a different tube but still the AVX mount. There is also part 1 & 2 if you need it from the very beginning but this relates to the really good bits Hope that helps.

Great image - have to say moving from other aspects of photography into Astro, this time of year is probably not the best time to learn, but if you can capture images like this now, just think what your images will be like in the longer dark nights

Hi, I eventually went for the CELESTRON ADVANCED VX 8″ SCHMIDT-CASSEGRAIN. After reading a lot of reviews and looked at options for photography aspect with it. Got a great deal with team at Rother Valley optics. Easy to set up which was great. Have had some great viewing already with and even some photography with the moon. Will of course ensure I continue to learn from my own mistakes and seek answers but so far really enjoying the kit 👍

Thank you both for your comments - and this is the reason I wanted ask before making any purchase. As a experienced photographer in most aspects, astro is new for me and I want people to question my thoughts and ideas and correct me if need be We all learn something new each day Thanks again. Have read a lot a of great reviews regarding the Baader range also the APM. Lots to consider thank you again.

Hi everyone, looking advice / suggestions please. Looking to purchase 1 eye piece that would suit the above set up. Can read so many reviews but would rather ask people’s advice and experience. So - what do I want, deep space specific, will be used for photography so must have the functionality for camera attachments. I don’t buy cheap 😂 you get what you pay for so open to suggestions. Hi all, Finally got round to joining up here. Can already see lots of useful advice and guidance which will be a great help. Spent a long time teaching underwater photography and general landscape photography. Always had a small scope but decided to hang up the water side of things and learn something new in the photography field. New scope arrived last week and loving it already and going to be asking lots of questions and hope to be able to share as well over time 😀
