  1. Welcome. I saw Jupiter, Saturn and mars last night and tonight’s sky is looking good here. You may be in luck tonight. You will see it fine with the 130.
  2. Possibly it’s Ags’s version of counting sheep 🐑🐑🐑
  3. Well you have to admit a monocle would fit the stereotype of astronomers. I understand what you are saying about actual eye relief though as I had some explore scientific eyepieces. They really overstated their eye relief and some lenses are very recessed.
  4. Second person to use one for over a decade! Must be nice to use. My 102 is an Ed so maybe it would be good in that.
  5. Thanks for your reply. I will maybe try one for 21 years then, must have been pretty good to “put up” with it for that long. I don’t observe with glasses so that’s a plus.
  6. Can anyone give me their experience on using a panoptic 27 with a 102 f7 refractor please. I’m thinking this would be a nice one for my lowest Magnification. Dale.
  7. I’ve bought a new baader 2inch diagonal on your recommendation. Such a nice bit of kit. My ethos fit in 2inch mode without the 1.25 barrel making contact with the prism, this was a worry to say the least. Very happy.
  8. 😀😅😇😍😚🤪🤩😔😜😝😛😘😗😙😉🤣😌😊☹️😏
  9. I’m at the same point in deciding which ones to keep. Someone will get some bargains at some point. The biggest expense in this hobby is the ones you sell 🤔
  10. Oh dear, I keep telling myself I have too many eyepieces and will fine with my Es 24/68.. and then I see this post. 🥺 that looks so, what’s the word,, perfect.
  11. You may get the moon between clouds to test it. Better focuser than the standard one.
  12. That looks pretty & strong. Very nice.
  13. Thanks. I’ve just seen 15mm ring that should work between holder and prism.
  14. That’s really nice. Would it take ethos in 2 inch mode without the 1.25 barrel hitting the mirror or would it need some sort of spacer between the diagonal and the click lock ?
  15. Thank you for answering that question. Morpheus are a very similar setup and I hear they are very good. I think I would need some sort of spacing ring between the diagonal and the eyepiece holder if I wanted to used eyepieces in 2” mode. They would be fine just being held by the 1.25” barrel I suppose but may be quite a stack with the 13e. I think Morpheus are maybe a little shorter than that one.
  16. Do you think it would take an ethos in 2” mode without the 1.25” barrel hitting the prism?
  17. Thanks for reply. The one you mentioned is the one I have. I think the baader mechanism is better. Was hoping to replace the one that’s on it. Failing that I’ll consider the baader prism and click lock.
  18. So what do you think about the baader diagonal? I have the 2-1.25 clicklock in my Altair Prism diagonal. I’m thinking maybe get the baader diagonal on the strength of performance the adapter has.
  19. Thanks for the replies. I will probably dismantle it When I get a day off and my eyes are not so tired to take measurements but was hoping someone may have already came across the same thing and knew the part number.
  20. I have an Altair prism diagonal and notice when I lock an eyepiece in, as I tighten the single screw it pushes the eyepiece to the side. Does anyone know if it’s possible to remove the Altair eyepiece holder end and replace it with a 2” baader cliklock type. I have a 1.25” version and it seems to hold things very secure. Another question is, would there be a danger of eyepiece barrels making contact with the prism? Hopefully someone has come across this before. Dale.
  21. You may be glad of a white one in the dark. Some point of reference.
  22. I expect you wondering if you would get it today or Monday. Maybe even some cloud gaps tonight. Enjoy.
  23. Sounds identical to me. A few months, 6 actually, where’s the time gone.. I got an Altair 102ed-r. Your stellamira looks the same amazing quality and I’m sure you will see well with it.
