  1. I want to and i will make that decision today.. Thank you very much everyone ... it was great pleasure to read all of your expert advice. I have to go through only few questions that only me and myself can answer, but i am strongly leaning towards Gemini E.Fric!!!!🎉✨🎆🎈 Main reason - mostly -Before i have my permanent OBSy - i will struggle with the weight of the other mounts, and my current Avalon M-zero cannot take C11 nor doube tele , "The key is not spending time , but investing it" - Stephen R.Covey, so let me invest in this rewarding hobby right now without wasting any time. One again thank you for your help and i will make sure that i will keep updated everyone who is interested, on the performance. Kindest regards Greg
  2. it must be good thanks for that, i will order one now... and probably new mount as well....!!!!!
  3. Somebody mentioned that adding a encoder will improve an error up to 3arec min = 0.03333333 deg .. big fork class mount - but i don't know anything about it...
  4. that is right - well, i couldn't see it - on cem60 vs cem60ec - but i don't class myself as a leading photographer...
  5. Davey-T, how is your HPS? did you ever taken apart? - just curiosity...
  6. gents, so in the end of day - perfectly stable balanced tracking Mesu, won't improve enough, to make visible difference after upgrading to encoders....if yes - lets say Renshaw Encoder - would Sitech managed it or Mesu will come with diffrent controller? CEM120 - Ray is happy using it - so what is a point to pay for EC? - or is there a point to pay for Renshaw precision - to make visible difference? Anybody currently using one?
  7. Vlaiv, Cos the company like Ioptron should overcome initial issues and you'd hope that update will solve it - usually that how it is works with any product on any market. But as someone have mentioned: they bit too much - and they are choking now and cannot swallow.... shame. I wonder if 3rd party will change that.
  8. ....and more about IOptron i would go with "Rainer" in here: https://groups.io/
  9. Juklin cos Asa, Gemini, Mesu . 10micron and Planewave operate on the model - i optron isn't. RayD, You have both - is that right?
  10. In this money i will have obsy for sure - But it will have to be hPS 2 GM 2000,. Also, - their attitude is crap - they are even asking to pay for better delivery!!! F***** joke? In this price range - one day - so many other - ModFod on my def list.....
  11. Thanks RayD, SO - they are using their own model or borrowed from other database? and it will move to the numbers saved within. Got it.
  12. Hi All I am starting this as a baseline to find out Cons and Pros for the difference, between standard focuser and all the way to the electronic top? up to max £3k. I mean : practical : i would like not to worry about rotating and focusing at all., so paying big bucks will give me this reassurance? - i guess? yes? - one focuser for all!!!! I have a short list for all: refractor /reflectors,/newtons Moonlight FT, ASA AAf3", RotoFoc 3, Nitecrawler 3, Optec TFT-53, Integra 85, Finger Lakes Atlas (FLI).. . Esatto (expensive - but complains) i am sure there is more good stuff out there... I am using moonlight 2" on my small triplet and FT 2" on the 2nd one. I was thinking to upgrade and open up to 3" electronic- Integra 85, or - just find out that ASA is still making their AAf3 My tele will be fast APO 100mm and on coming 10-14" barrel... i guess RASA doesn't need one? Please all experience welcome. Kindest Regards Greg
  13. Andras is a great man. What I know: it is open source mount - so any /many controllers will do, also the E.Fric can track in open loop (same as 10 micron? i think), so both are limited by Polar A and OTA flectures. MESU....known SiTech and Encoders (plus encoders upgrade if required).
  14. Hi Rich, Thank you. Weight is a thing - i am hoping to lighten it all - carbon etc... - focuser.... it will get me close to about 27-28kg... I Am trying to complicate it a bit - and go for SiTech with E.fric . SiTech has a good development...many users (in here as well) but saying that i don't know one step so ... i will keep quiet for now....
  15. Hmm - i couldn't see on their website... Looks good !! i will open new post.. Thanks
  16. Hi Dave S, I was just about to email you - about if you know why ASA stopped making gear for - small people.... !!! No focuser as well? Greg
  17. Hi HTH, Done: Mesu and Gemini remaining 👍 JTW and ASA DD100 on the way out - too big! and monies (⊙_⊙;)
  18. I am in the middle of adding all ... don't forget RASA 11 + 5kg base - 25kg - so straight away you are away from hps/SB/Avalon... Spending that much money - for me - i don't want to be on the weight limit - just don't cos it will not work and you will blame everything else but not your bad decision. ABS sale - 25years old MESU for 4k? are you kidding? Get a new one - £5.5k - 6-8 weeks, it is heavy. Forget EQ8/Ioptron - not if you can get something else Crux - they have 170 out- or out very soon BTW: you can use any tripod on any mount - is all about the adaptor - and your local can cut out for you -just find out what "the" tripod can take SWL. Greg
  19. Thanks, Regarding AO - as it helpling to straighten up seeing distortions / light wave distortion - would the cheap mirror (reflector) generate a problem with reading - affecting guiding?
  20. Hi Andrew, Why not? 🙌 I am grateful that you are here, I dint have a go at anybody - sorry if you feel that way - i was only trying to ask, if there will be a time, when we could simply say to our self that: we don't need better or more equipment , would it make a difference if, let say MESU, had better encoders? i always find everybody's pictures better than mine...and blaming everything but myself.... Greg
  21. hahahaha - sometimes i just make things to complicated.... Thanks Greg
  22. In the meantime, Would one of you be so kind as to forward a copy off S.Richards setup guide for Mesu and Sitech?.... i cannot find it anywhere....much appreciated.....
