  3. As Ships and Stars said any book will be out of date by the time the UK has clear night I am very happy with the book , I went on the link when posted on another thread , the main part that's out of date is the lunar Eclipses goes from 2000 to 2011, planets positions etc all tables are out of date All end 2011 If they tell you in the ad you can look for newer one but this may be the last print I have the Philips planishere which give me the info up to 2030 Your right the link has lunar Eclipses up to 2032 so saved it to my kindle

  7. Hi all ok I got turn left at Orion from Amazon Thursday and it's 9 years out of date so some of the book I can't use, but it was still worth getting for the parts I can use , I like the telescope rating for each item to look at , just waiting for clear sky's

  9. Ok guys thank you I am enjoying this new hobby got bitten by the bug the other night with the moon , spotted scope change and working better , eyepieces should be here soon , started saving for a 150 or 200 skywatcher telescope , so thing can only get better
  10. Its a con I really don't know people have to make things up
  11. Thanks John I have ordered some omni eyepieces to use with my powerseeker , glad I won't have to upgrade them when I upgrade the telescope
  12. Hi forgive me if the term speed is wrong Quick question e.g. Celestron Omni eyepieces used in an f8 telescope can these be used in some thing like a skywatcher 150p f5 telescope
  13. Hi could you not mark the ground were the legs go and then level once then when your done just fold legs to take in door but leave them the length you set to level ,as long as it goes in the same spot it should be level
  14. Thanks spacebat once the New eyepieces come I will be out there in the dark when ever I can
  15. Well guys I only looked at the moon and WOW very very happy just need to fine adjust the red dot finder tomorrow
  16. Thanks John that was very educational even to see what your presentation show I will be very happy , once the better eyepieces get here I hope the views will be better than now , I did enjoy last night views and I am getting better with the EQ mount
  17. Hi John this is the video so this is not true I got this telescope on the strength of this
  18. Hi it was a test I wanted to look at Venus but cloud cover stop me so just picked on a single star in Orion to see what I could see , I see all these beautiful photos of stars and planets that are taken through a telescope ok probably a lot more powerful than mine , I did see a video of Saturn and it's rings ment to be taken through a Celestron powerseeker 114 it was not super detailed but you could see it and the rings turning So looking to that I would expect to see more than just a ball of light ,
  19. Hi all silly question ,I have the Celestron powerseeker 114 is it any good that the moment I have just 2 eyepieces 32mm 4mm and x3 Barlow when looking at say Orions belt no matter what eyepiece I used with or without the Barlow it's just a small ball of light about 1mm in size ? Am I expecting to much from this telescope I did see a photo of Saturn taken with one of these telescope but they did not say what they use in the way of eyepieces I am getting better eyepieces and Barlow which I hope will help
  20. Hi there is a really nice skywatcher 150p on an eq3 mount for £200 in Brum so not far from you it's a fast scope Looks like that's sold but there is another brand new under £400 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SkyWatcher-Explorer-150P-6-Parabolic-Telescope-EQ3-2-Mount-UK-10912-20448/133185825860?epid=1305237472&hash=item1f027e6c44:g:cJAAAOSw6MVdj0bT
  21. Thanks I trust them like I trust you guys on here , I just set up to look at Venus but the clouds beat me , what a bummer
  22. Hi guys thanks for the info I am buying new from FLO was looking at the Celestron kit but Martin at FLO said that at least 4 eyepieces in the kit I would not use so will get the Omni , I am trying to get the money together to get the skywatcher 150p on the eq3 mount and if I can get enough the go-to version
  23. Brilliant what a simple idea do you know if it will still track ok ? The play I have is in the polar axis I have to adjust latitude to line up on a star if I do it on the clutch the telescope will drop an inch when I let go
