  1. Well spotted. I have edited both product pages so they are less ambiguous. Thank-you 🙂
  2. We have today added two new eyepiece cases to our website Astro Essentials Eyepiece Bag Astro Essentials Eyepiece Case Just for fun, we will email a £25 FLO Gift Voucher to the first ten SGL members who post a photo here of either the bag or case with all spaces occupied 🙂
  3. @Adam J It is true most are essentially the same OEM product manufactured by ToupTek but the ZWO model is NOT. ZWO design their cameras in-house and manufacture them in their own factories. I think the same is true for the QHY model. Anyhow. Enough of that. The OP wants to hear from owners of the Altair 26M 🙂 @mackiedlm If you struggle to find owners here then you will find some at Altair's Facebook group. I think the lady who promotes Altair products via her YouTube channel AstroStace is also a member there. HTH, Steve
  4. You will probably find tracking info becomes available when the package reaches their local Mail Centre. Most major Royal Mail bottlenecks can be found here: Service Update from Royal Mail today. (Click the 'Movement of mail through our network' link). HTH, Steve
  5. This year we are experiencing our busiest ever lead up to Christmas! Fortunately our stock situation is better than expected (please see our Telescopes in stock category for latest) and we are all in good health so are at our desks answering emails and dispatching orders. Unfortunately couriers and Royal Mail are struggling to maintain normal delivery times. This is especially true for Royal Mail who have more staff off than usual (Royal Mail staff absences almost double level of 2018). This is having a significant impact on thier delivery times and the situation will likely worsen as Omicron moves through the population. Currently some customers who chose delivery via Royal Mail First Class are experiencing delays up to around one week. In some instances two weeks! Please be understanding if your Royal Mail delivery is affected and please be aware Royal Mail's First Class service does not include tracking info. Fortunately Royal Mail are trustworthy so orders are, eventually, being delivered. DPD & DHL are similarly affected but their higher priced services do provide tracking info and delays, so far, are usually no more than 2-3x days. Thank-you for your patience and understanding during these extraordinary times. Alex, Annette, Ann, Chris, Cody, Grant, Ian, James, Katie, Lisa, Maggie, Matt, Michael, Rob & Steve 🤗
  6. John, I know you are keen to discuss your telescope but this is Mr Spock's Starfield 102 discussion. I don't think we should hijack it 🙂 Steve
  7. O ye of little faith! 😄 I became aware of this discussion only this morning after Ian tagged @FLO in his post. Nobody at FLO works overnight. We sleep at night. The stock arrived yesterday afternoon, just before our warehouse closed. My colleague Lisa scanned the motor kits into stock when we reopened this morning. Our inventory system noted, after existing customer orders were cleared, there were two remaining. Our inventory system then auto-emailed everyone who had previously clicked the 'Notify me when back in stock' button, saying stock was available. See 🙂 If you still doubt us, malc-c, here are some photos showing them at our warehouse. When I found them they were still on the Putaway trolley. HTH, Steve
  8. No problem 🙂 You must have clicked the blue 'Notify me when back in stock' button on our product page - that automatically sends an email when an item is physically at our warehouse and available to buy. If you ever need info on what is incoming please email. Steve
  9. More models are planned for StellaLyra and StellaMira but currently we are unable to share details. Generally speaking, for StellaMira (ED refractors) we are aiming for a mix of affordable 'tried & trusted' models together with some that are more expensive / high-end. The 66ED & 80ED telescopes discussed here with proven ED doublet optics are from the tried & trusted camp.
  10. It is good to see StellaMira 90 ED Triplet owners sharing their images. Thank-you all 🤗 Steve
  11. We already have two Sky-Watcher Enhanced Dual-Axis DC Motor Drives for EQ-5 in stock. More are readily available. That is also already in stock (£71 cheaper than the German retailer). Sky-Watcher SynScan PRO Go-To Upgrade Kit for EQ5 It is true UK retailers must source Sky-Watcher products from the same distributor so are often waiting for the same shipment. You are forgiven 🙂 If his website availability indicator isn't correct then he should have no difficulty sourcing one for you from Sky-Watcher's distributor (I checked this morning). HTH, Steve
  12. One of our bestselling binoculars for astronomy 🙂 Pentax SP 20x60mm WP £219 £175 (Save £44) Promotion ends 24th December.
  13. Yes. Also the William Optics 66SD doublet. Probably others too 🙂 Essentially these StellaMira models have same optics but better focusers. No, they were doublets. Oops! 😊 Comes from rushing to make product pages before we close for the weekend. The typo has been corrected. Please say if you notice another. Steve
  14. The return of two classics 🙂 Manufactured by Long Perng in Taiwan, these new StellaMira doublet refractors have tried & trusted 66mm f/6 and 80mm f/6.25 optics with Japanese Ohara ED glass elements and upgraded dual-speed R&P focusers. StellaMira 66mm ED f/6 Refractor StellaMira 80mm ED f/6.25 Refractor
  15. Opticron also offer a more affordable alternative with fully multicoated optics: Opticron Oregon 10x50 WA
  16. We are confident this is the best binocular for astronomy available <£100. Currently in stock 🙂 “If there is a better 10x50 for under £125, I’ve not seen it. Everything works as it should, the image in the sweet spot is extremely good, it has decent coatings, it is lightweight and comfortable to use, the strap is good quality and comfortable, unusually for a budget binocular it is not significantly stopped down, and it will suit a wide range of faces." Steve Tonkin's review for the BinocularSky website. Opticron Adventurer 10x50 T WP
