  1. It wasn’t there. I asked, they said it is still in the design and development stage so not ready for reveal. HTH
  2. I've just learned the smaller of the two new Sky-Watcher harmonic mounts can be used with a scope fitted on either side.
  3. The large telescope is a Sightron 75mm f/5 6 element / 6 group astrograph. The smaller telescope is a Sightrom 50mm f/10.9 doublet achromat.
  4. NEAIC is over, and it's day one at NEAF. Here's Gary Palmer, Grant and Alz (Astron Scientific) on our Remote Observatory stall. (The photo was taken before the doors opened). NEAF is 'much' busier than NEAIC, but sometime today or tomorrow, I'll visit other stalls in the hope of finding more to photograph.
  5. It's a Starlight Express SX-EFAO 'electronic focuser with internal active optics'. HTH, Steve
  6. Michael Hattey at SX says it is one of a new series of CMOS cameras. They will launch soon with, initially, IMX571 and IMX455 sensors. HTH, Steve
  7. Grant, Gary, and I are promoting our Remote Observatory project at NEAIC & NEAF this year. Lots of new toys are on show at exhibitor stalls, so I've taken some photos. They are only mobile phone pix, so apologies for the low quality. We are here for the week, attending both events, so I'll post more if I have an opportunity. Steve
  8. The manufacturer says it isn't, though the two designs are clearly closely related.
  9. Done. All product pages are updated. Thank you for the heads-up. Steve
  10. FLO also owns the Astro Essentials, StellaLyra and StellaMira brands. But after some debate, we chose to brand these new eyepieces, Ursa Major. Ursa Major is a brand we use for products that provide an affordable route into astronomy. I.e. the Ursa Major 6" f/8 Planetary Dobsonian. I'll stick my neck out and say I believe the Ursa Major 6" Dob offers more performance-per-£ than any other telescope. Over time, I think these new affordable eyepieces will earn a similar reputation, so they, too, are branded Ursa Major. HTH, Steve
  11. They are a new design manufactured by United Optics. We have bought them into the UK as Ursa Major, but retailers in other countries will, of course, do the same for their country and will brand them differently. I guess most will compare Ursa Major FMC Flatfields with the more expensive BST StarGuiders. HTH, Steve
  12. They look, feel and perform better than their price suggests. They are also noticeably better and more comfortable than the eyepieces supplied with most telescopes. Steve
