  1. I have heard of a thing called a "Reaction Engine" which can produce it's own fuel from the atmosphere when it reaches a certain speed and would be used to power a reusable space plane into orbit.
  2. The old saying is " it occupies the same space ". HMS Victory on display in drydock has had just about everything replaced over the years.

  6. I think I'm right in saying that it was satellite images that first alerted us to the holes in the ozone layer at the poles (especially the south pole) leading to a ban in the use of CFC gas. What about the masses of scrap metal orbiting the planet potentially hampering future space programmes.
