  1. Even worse... I have touched it again... and Nothing.... No sparks in the eyes... No cursing words in the head... Not sure if I will manage to diagnose it.
  2. Funny I was strongly "bitten" by my Anycubic Mega yesterday evening while it was printing Luckily it was not my 4 year old son who touched it Will need to look into it...
  3. This is why I still afraid to leave my 3D printer alone to print
  4. Just a quick update on my Anycubic Mega S, It worked out of the box. Set up took around 10 minutes, + bed leveling = Test Printing finished without any flaws! Very nice, - I was excited. I have printed around 8 things during 1 week, - total printing time around 16H and..... First fail! Nozzle stopped heating! It took me around 30 mins to figure out I was doing all properly and it is not the Printer Settings or Slicer parameter issues... Even tried to update Firmware, but failed... not sure why.. Multimeter = no circuit in the nozzle heating element... Anycubic has provided with the spear Hot-End with 4 or 5 Nozzles in advance. (I guess... They actually knew what is going to happen! ) + 30min = hot-end in, working and printing... A bit disappointed... Not sure how long the second Hot-End will last Thinking of contacting them in advance with this problem... Just in case if I will need to buy a new one soon, can you please advise which one to choose? The Default one, reaches 270C. If I will be made to, - I think of buying one which is able to reach 300-320C, but not sure if this temp will not start melting any other parts in the pinter-head.
  5. Befor you weld, maybe you have some kind of extender? As l recall one of us already had a similar problem, try asking him directly if he managed to sort it out.
  6. By the way guys, I've been playing around with SGP autofocus options last two nights... it was cloudy/fogy and etc, so my experiments were not completed. The best HFR result i managed to achieve was actually, initial result after I focused with Bahtinov, even before I started to play with autofocus settings. My best score was around 1.3 HFR with Luminance (Baader). and something around 1.2 HFR with HA (Baader 7nm), but it was already quite... cloudy... it probably can be better. What's your best result? My motor step size is 2.4 microns (can adjust to 0.067, but as I noticed, even 2.4 is a bit too small for auto focus routine... probably... not sure yet.. but it was my first impression) P.S. I am with ASI 16000MM-Pro and Skywatcher's CC (which is 0.9 reducer also).
  7. It is cheap!!!! And it's not so painful if something will go wrong while moding/tinkering and improving it Plus, it gives a very nice results without any mods! Nice scope for the start and for DIY! I even cleaned it's primary without any frustration
  8. P.S. forgot to mention, if you will change dovetail bars, - read about cone error in advance as you may have some pointing/targeting problems on opposite side of the meridian. P.P.S. As per balancing, I was even made to offset Canon slightly left from the bar to balance the guider off which is in standard position near focuser, - with ST80 on top, you will not have such a problem.
  9. Exactly like mine , thats why my canon and it's clamp (around 1.5KG) are almost at the bottom of the scope, so I have to slide it a bit higher to balance and motor fits
  10. I have the same balancing problem with all toys at the top, so I attached my Canon for wide field shots and as a contra-balance. I guess, ST80 will make balance even easier and you will not need 1kg extra. You simply need to buy two longer dovetail bars and place ST80 on top/center or bit lower, the main camera should be attached to 130PDS from bottom at 6 o'clock. Something like this.
  11. OMG Gina! I can only imagine how much time it takes to print something in that size week?
  12. Thanks a lot! this one is enough
  13. Has anyone got the dimensions of the bottom/base plate of the focuser (where the focus locking bolt and other bolts are located)? I have a slow day at the office and decided to draw a sketch of the bracket to fit the stepper motor.
  14. Hi again, thanks for the advice on the software, I have decided to stay with AutoCad and TinkerCad (for the fast/simple sketches). Blender was really interesting, maybe once I will come back to it. As per Filaments: I will start testing PLA and probably PLA plus. In ideal, I would like to print something strong as Polycarbonate, but I am sure my "Anycubic i3 Mega S" is not able to print it as it needs around 300C degrees in Nozzle and etc. Mine is able to reach around 270C, and the hotbed around 110C, - whats the strongest material I will be able to use with these temps? (For small 5-10cm dovetail and/or 1kg camera holder). Am I capped with ABS?
  15. You can always chop off again... 1cm was not enough for me
  16. Hi all, I am waiting for my first printer "Anycubic i3 Mega 3D Printer", should be delivered today!!! I hope I will manage to hold myself till tomorrow as the 31st of December is not the best day for experiments! P.S. I still have not managed to choose the software for design... TinkerCAD webapp looks very basic... AutoCad - too expensive, however, I do have it in the office, just in case.... a bit lost in this area. any new starter advises are very very welcome! (like web libs, soft, settings and "no no things" especially!)
  17. Simply, try using a smartphone! just like you did with concenter
  18. Hmm, can you please explain this part in detail? As I spent lots of time placing the secondary using Chesire and col.cap and I dont think I managed to place it perfectly
  19. Not sure which cam and CC you will use, but for me 1cm was not enough, - for Skywatcher 0.9 CC and ASi1600MMM
  20. I noticed that part! but he wants to test before "circumcision"
  21. You wont need to touch the secondary for it, you even will not need to remove the focuser as you can loosen the bolts holding focuser's knobs and remove the drawtube only. Drop me PM once you will on to it, will explain or even show it in detail.
  22. you have missed one part... x) Shorten the Focuser's drawtube (1cm minimum) And good luck and patience while placing the secondary back in the position!!! the rest is piece of cake!
