Thanks, Pete. I hope to get better results with the Antlia UV filter I'm waiting on. I just received the Astromania 3-Planetary filter set with UV/CH4/IR filters. Have you used any of these filters?
No i haven't, but @Kon is getting some great results with the UV filter. Obviously this heavily dependent on good seeing conditions.

Thanks for the feedback Pete.
Yes dyadic mostly level 1 and 2. I tried the linear as well but I had to increase the levels quite a bit to get similar result.
Thank you for the info, i have some data from last night. The seeing seemed pretty decent and a quick look at the TIFFs from A/S3 suggest it might be pretty good also.

Crackin' images, Pete. That Baader UV filter really does the job. I have an Antlia UV filter on the way, a bit cheaper than the Baader (around $200 US) and I hope nearly as good. I'll also be auditioning the Astromania UV filter, part of a three-filter set with a CH4 and IR longpass filters. Should be an interesting time!

It will be interesting to see how they perform Reggie

I think the key for insects, especially spiders is to keep things clean, minimal amount clutter for them to hide behind. I try and move everything around and give it a good hoover at least a few times each month.

Always worth trying different techniques on objects to see how the data responds. hopefully some clear skies soon so i can get some I/R data to experiment on.

Lovely close up view there.

I use my c9.25 with a white light filter, which is just over 200mm in diameter. It is very dependent on excellent seeing conditions to perform. That said, i am generally really pushing the limits to try and capture some close up granulation images.

Looks very good to me, what exposure time did end up with?
