In the UK try Leicester Space Centre, The Spaceguard centre Knighton, Herstmonceux is a must for its big old scopes, Jodrell Bank is an impressive structure.

Try using Stellarium (free download) to find out what's visible at what time of night. Its a well capable scope once you get used to using it.

I use a simple tool called Whatsup it creates a list where you can set azimuth and alt limits select object type and size

They have the focal length on but the field of view is dependant on the scope dimensions as well so create a crib sheet for your eyepieces and scope combination

You can join again at the price of £10 we have an observatory site now and can loan kit to members. All meetings on Zoom at the moment but have observing sessions when we can.

Generally the overlap is to fold down along the bino body to ensure no stray light gets in. The sun in small binos is not very big in the field of view. Whats the field of view of you 15x50's?
The filters I made just slip over the lens and are held on by sticky tape or rubber bands.

Cartes du Ciel software https://www.ap-i.net/skychart//en/start
will give sunrise time everywhere in its ephemeris tool and lunar info that may be usefull.

Lovely scope but I only have the cassegrain secondary, will dig out some pics soon.
