A bit cheaper as well, shipping is half the price

I was about to hit the buy button but then thought, is It just that I need to get the crosshairs of the Cheshire cantered on the primary mirror spot?

That looks like just what I need - Take it you have one? They easy to use?
-
Well Im going to take the primary out, give it a clean and then redo my silicone pads that it rests on, then recollimated - a Christmas job!

I think that image I took with my camera phone makes it look worse than it is. Next time. Have the scope out to collimation I will take an image of the secondary.
i use everything to collimator! A colli cap, a laser, a Cheshire etc, just think I’m not very good at it, the secondary I’m finding impossible to get correct.

I can never get all 3 clips to display in the secondary, no matter what I do, should it always be possible to see all 3 clips?

I'm following astro baby guide so not bothered about the primary mirror spot at this point

I cant get all 3 mirror clips to appear in my secondary, I can see 2 of them but 1 is always just off to the side, just out of range - does this mean I need to mess about with it more, or do some telescopes looks like this??

Its going back to RVO on Monday, apparently they have a workshop and are going to contact WO to see if it can be done by them or needs shipped back

Would also have thought the Pegasus or ZWO ones would work as well

Hello Blinky
Thank you your reply. I really hope that you find the cure for your problem, I take it you have only just bought the scope too?
Could you please let me know how you get on with the problem that you are having with it, as of yet I haven't hit the buy button?
Also are you using the WO guide scope? Link: https://www.firstlightoptics.com/william-optics/william-optics-50mm-slide-base-uniguide-scope-with-125-rotolock.html
Just wanting know how the guide scope can be be adjusted for windage and elevation please?
Kind regards,
Hadyn - IOM
I use an off axis guider on mine, keeps it all nice and neat

Ive got one, having a wee issue with it at the moment which might well be down to low temperature and WO have asked me to run a dew band round the cell. Other than that, I really like it, I have the dedicated flattener which works well, and is adjustable - I have to move it about 1mm further out that recommended due to me using a mono camera and filters. Anyway, cracking scope, well made (assuming the dodgy stars go with a little heat) and looks lovely!
-
I generally only switch it on if its really cold, usually I dont bother - will give it a try and see how the stars look with the band on a decent heat.
-
William Optics have came back today and said when the temp is around zero degrees I should use a dew band - anybody heard of this before, is it normal to use a dew band on fracs when the temperature is around freezing?

Finally got round to emailing WO, apparently when it gets to zero degrees the screws are too tight, they have asked where I purchased from, I assume to send back.....

Direct connection works, for som3 reason going through a usb 2 hub, that’s powered, causes it to fail
-
Cracking little scopes, always wished I had never sold mine, seem to remember it has an SCT thread but the flattener is like rockin horse doo doo to find!

Right, cleaned primary and put it back in, 2hrs later how does this look? All 3 clips visible, shadow of secondary is round and the centre spot is centered
