For all its worth, here's my setup...an Evostar 120 with a ST80 guidescope all on a slightly overloaded but resilient EQ5 mount.

Thanks :-). The EQ5 mount is really an excellent mount for the money. I mark the positions on the dovetail mount and counterweight bar to speed up the balancing. Dan. -
From the album: My set up
My current set up... SW Evostar 120, Nikon D200, ST80 guidescope on a SW guidescope mount, Synguider, EQ5 pro with extension pier, Baader fringe killer and SW light pollution filters. Solar filter added to lens cap. Altogether a good (albeit slightly overloaded) system to learn AP. -
