no, using the colomation screws i moved the mirror as far up the tube as possible, i am certain if i di anymore the primary would just fall off. I need to get some longer lock screws to make it fixed in place. but it led to many more questions and concerns which i brought up in this post my biggest issue is tracking. and the lack of knowledge to change the tracking speed to suit planatary movement

glad to hear you got around chopping the tube, cant help you with the tracking mate,there must be away to work round it...
