  1. Hi guys, I have for sale my Atik Infinity Color Camera. It's in mint condition and comes boxed and complete with everything you need. I've used it around 4 times. £830 including Express Shipping and Insurance. If you have any questions, please drop me a message, and I'll be happy to help. Thanks!
  2. I have a Celestron Skyprodigy 130 SLT. Cheap, self aligning, and can be used with a digital camera or video camera for imaging. If you want to save an alt-az mount is your best option! For me my setup is perfect.

    Hello everyone

Welcome Adrian! Cheers and Happy Holidays!
  5. I have a Canon Selphy cp1000 and have printed all my AP photos with it. They have the same quality as the pictures I used to print at the mall. One of my best AP investments.
  6. There's no substitute for a good dark sky. I personally don't like filters. Purchased two and they are in my drawer. Try a video astronomy camera.
  7. For a DOB I would recommend a video astronomy camera. There are many cheap ones even at $100. The results will surprise you
  8. Get Astrophotography on the Go by Joe Ashley. There is just so much value in this book... it's like an MBA in astrophotography. Search Joe's work in google and you'll see what's possible to be done with a small, modest setup
  9. I prefer to leave my mirrors alone, but I always keep one of those humidity control bags inside the tube. Never had any issues.
  10. I have a Celestron SkyProdigy 130SLT and will never need to purchase any other one This one it's totally hassle free. It aligns itself, provides me great views, and with my Atik Infinity attached I can get some pretty decent images!
  11. Try to use a heat band around the opening of the telescope. It's essential in the winter.
  12. With your current setup your best bet is to use wide fov eyepieces and try to locate the brighter ones.
  13. I use: Sky Live, Universe2go, SkySafari. For me these 3 are a must for any observing/imaging session.
  14. One tip: let your eyes adapt first to the dark. 20 minutes or so will do the trick. Don't use a smartphone while waiting
  15. Love the Mars shot, very impressive. A lot of details.
