  1. Well I can see a bit of detail in the video.

Tuning looks a bit off though.

I am confused on the 3 slots coment

to tune rotate the front of the etalon and tweak the tilt to even the illumination across the disc.

the metal pins act as a stop

  2. I have installed a 1 TB WD NVMe that was on offer.

So far I have used it for solar collection and get around 46 fps compared to the 58 fps on the Dell SFF with a samsung Me, but seeing as this is supposed to be used in the field I am quite happy with that so far.

I have not cloned the Win 10 across is there a benfit to that ?

The Venus sers i took the other day with 300 x 300 ROI did a whopping 390 fps

The usb/serial arrived today at last and so did the snow so that will be tried tomorrow if the weather co-operates.

So far i have the QSI CCD,  lodestar,ZWO 178 mono, the Hitech astro hub, shoestring Dc focus controller,  Nina and firecapture all up and running.

    Also Any desk.

I plan to try Sharpcap as well.

I would like a better 12v screen as I'm using a 12v TV at the moment that is a bit grainy. I am going to hook it to a PCmointor to see what thats like when I get the usb/serial and the mount up and running.

I have run it via wifi indoors but not yet in the obs as I have a network for that and transfering 10 to 60 Gb of solar data is best done by cable.

    Baby steps.

Hi Ibbo, I had all sorts of usb connection issues with my QSI- the camera would connect but not the filter wheel or vice versa. Running APT/NINA as administrator solved it- haven’t had any issues since- I have all my ASCOM sw set to always run as administrator now. worth a try if you haven’t already.

    Mark

Finally got it connected using the latest QSI drivers and switching to NINA 32 bit and as you suggested opening as Admin.

Now to get it to talk to the mount via a serial converter.

    Thanks[

I will give that a go when the weather improves a bit.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

  7. I have just got mine.

The idea was to build a rig so I can build up a mobile setup to use for my solar imaging, to avoid the bad seeing of the backyard horizon.

So far two runs have been done and i can say that the frame rate was good at around 40 + fps and upto 60fps

Next step is to try going mobile.

I have also tried it with NINA with my QSI ccd but the QSI will not connect as yet - driver issue.

Everything I have connected so far works, except the QSI having said that the QSI/Nina has also failed with the old Toughbook I have been using out there.

I will test it with my SX ccd when its a bit drier in the obs.
