Love this thread, so here I go. My latest milestone on what is the EP case journey. Destination unknown ...

This is it! Having taken delivery of my 40mm EP, I will not be buying any more eyepieces for some considerable time. I intend to work with these and build my experience looking through them. And I have avoided inserting any question marks or ellipses - because I have made up my mind. Too much time (and money) spent on researching and hunting down the EPs and filters I had decided would cover all bases for me and my scopes. So no more scouring the classifieds, ABS, Astroboot or eBay. I'm done. I'm there. It's complete. Over. Sorted. Thanks for looking, as the ads might say.

That's great, Tim. A nice, old world look about it and I love these interesting pieces ... But I think the OCD brigade are going to be pacing the floor!!

John, surely that's far too sensible and simply mundane for this thread ... Feng shui, OCD, micrometer-accurate alignments, neuroses, hissy fits and the odd Gollum-like whisper of 'it's our preciousss, it isss' ... That's what's needed here. Arranged is not the key word. However, deranged might be!

So if these persons are banned/beyond the pale, how come they can they still post? I'm not getting all 'Disgruntled, Tunbridge Wells' about it. Merely curious ...

Saw 'banned user' and 'beyond the event horizon' attached to a couple of avatars in one of the beginner forums. Can you cast some light on these, please - a chance for me to see some light from beyond the event horizon perhaps? :-)

Mr Bond, it's scary that you know so much about grenades - not the EP kind, the ones with 'fragmentation grooves', no less! Now, must get back to being scared about slavering over pics of green and black things for sale ...

They weren't on offer long before you snapped those up! Green & black always looks nice.

Keeping it brief, I emailed FLO inquiring about a solar filter. Steve replied quickly, asked a question, I replied then, following his advice, ordered the filter online. It arrived 21 hours later. There is no room left for improvement. Faultless service from first inquiry to fulfilment. AND this was while they were running a clearance sale that day. (Saw an earlier thread suggesting FLO fans might be 'on commission'. Take it from a hard-to-please Scot, that ain't the case.)
