  1. Hi all, Attempting to set myself up with some astro imaging pics on a budget! I have a second hand astro adapted Canon 100, and a star adventurer, and I'm looking to have a crack at some DSOs, galaxies etc. Any thoughts on the "Tamron AF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di LD Macro, Canon EF Fit" https://www.mpb.com/en-uk/used-equipment/used-photo-and-video/used-lenses/used-canon-fit-lenses/tamron-af-70-300mm-f-4-5-6-di-ld-macro-canon-ef-fit/sku-802731/ Any other suggestions from this site would be good, as I don't really want to spend more than £100.
  2. Currently going cheap on Amazon. https://www.amazon.co.uk/SkyWatcher-S20510-Adventurer-Astro-Package/dp/B00Z4HVOVS/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1544469351&sr=8-7&keywords=sky-watcher+star+adventurer I tried to post this in the For Sale thread but was unable to on my mobile. Only 12 hours left so could someone copy this message there if needed?
  3. I have an unmodded 1100 I'd be happy to swap.
  4. Hi, I'm trying to get DSLR controller working with a TP-Link902AC that I bought today. Trouble is the firmware on their website seems to be for v1, and the one I have is a v3. Does anyone know if I can just roll back the firmware to v1 before trying their custom firmware? At the moment it does not accept the custom firmware at all.
  5. Hi. I've managed to break the thing my red dot finder slots into. I'm think it's called a shoe? It's from a Celestron nexstar 6SE, and I'm not sure what I should buy. Any suggestions?
  6. 0% cloud cover for Friday and Saturday on metcheck.com. Guaranteed downpour then.
  7. I'll be there. Hoping to get some advice for the experts.
  8. Hiya, Is your 5mm EP still for sale?

COMPLETED - Pentax 12mm XF Eyepiece - SOLD

Excellent, I'll take it then. Can pay with bank transfer, paypal, or bitcoin/ethereum etc. Might not be back online till Wednesday, so if I don't reply, I haven't gone anywhere.

COMPLETED - Pentax 12mm XF Eyepiece - SOLD

Is this still for sale? Would it work well with a Celestron 6SE?

    COMPLETED - Celestron X-Cel LX 2x Barlow

    Is this still available?

    Dark skies here I come.

Looks great! Looking forward to a review.
  13. Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has any details of properties to rent in dark sky areas with telescopes as part of the rental fee? Ideally looking for somewhere in the canaries but any other dark sky areas would be of interest. I did find one on Las Palmas but the guestbook hasn't been updated since 2015, and the last entry was saying sorry one of the owners had died.
  14. Thanks for your reply. I'm attending a star party at Herstmonceux at the end of August, so will probably seek advice there. Thanks again.
  15. Hiya, Bit of a beginner here so be gentle. Went for a session at the weekend, and noticed when I looked into the telescope what appeared to be a lump of dirt on the large rear mirror (eyepiece end) about the size of a pea. It didn't really appear to have much effect on what I could see, but I suspect that's because I'm a new user, and probably not aware of what difference it can make? Anyway, is this something a beginner can attempt to sort out, or should I take it to a dealer as the manual suggests?
