  13. I agree the QHY8L would be a good fit and thank you for all your input. I have had to do a bit of research to comprenhend it. but it has been invaluble.
  14. Hi All. Im looking at getting a CCD camera, OSC/used, I have about £700.00 budget. Im am wanting to target mainly galaxies. I know mono is more sensitve and I will one day go this route when I can have a perminent OBSY. I will be using a C11 with a F6.3 Reducer on EQ6 Pro. Is there any other kit I would need with the CCD filters/Etc If it was your £££ what would you put it on?
  15. Nearly all gone just the eyepiece and guide scope rings left open to offers. I also have a SW ALT AZ handset controller and DC stepper motors inc gears and board from an EQ6
  16. Check in the 'device manager' you will find it in 'control panel' system. With the adaptor plugging in look for the entry in the list. As Spikey has stated it will be called 'prolific' if you see this in the device manager check there is no issue with it. If all is well in the device manager go to the eqascom telescope control panel>configure and hit the search button this will scan all com channels for a connected device. baud rate 9600 retry 2 timeout 1000
  17. Help. I have broken my red dot finder base! I cannot find a replacement anywhere. does anyone know where these can be found?
  18. I have done this myself to my EQ6 mount, its a bit fiddly but as I remember the Mod kit came with very concise easy to follow instructions. Give it a go your-self I think you will be surprised how straight forward it is to do.
  19. Just plugged it into a Windows 10 PC and the camera installed using Microsoft LifeCam studio driver, no download needed. The label on the camera cable states Microsoft LifeCam studio.
