  1. Does that if you cut and paste something, need to click the "remove format" button. The pink and white one Dave
  2. Got one on order with FLO so hope it performs, probably only be using it with 200mm lens for quick trips out to somewhere dark so hope I can get some reasonable unguided subs to save taking laptop. Dave
  3. Just a refinement of the above, once you've manually centred you're target if you hold down the enter button for about three seconds you get a message "press enter to sync on target" then press enter and it tracks on that position (doesn't mention this in the useless manual) Dave
  4. Thanks Alan, will bookmark this in case I get the urge to have a dabble, not sure if I should just leave well alone Dave
  5. Hi Gina I have a M42 thread 200mm SMC Takumar somewhere around the place, your welcome to it if it's of any use to you. Dave
  6. Had one of those for many years, been going to sell it as I have 21mm Ethos that gives similar views but have grown rather attached to it Dave
  7. Some precision automation sounds good but may take longer to tool up than do the job, ok if you're starting a production line I guess A printed fence with locating lugs to keep it away from the wires maybe ? Dave
  8. Hi Gina, I was waiting until a set system for debayering was established before attacking my 450d but now I'm feeling guilty that your'e left to do all the pioneering work, perhaps you could make some sort of fence to control the resin, maybe glue it to the sensor with a small amount of resin and fill in behind when it's hardened, then it could be left in place permanently, just an idea, maybe talking rubbish Dave
  9. Well in the blurb from Canon when they released the 60da, Vice President Mr Yuichi Ishizuka said they [Canon] had, Quote, "A constant desire to produce an astro camera " Perhaps it lost something in the translation Dave
  10. They must exist without CFAs somewhere along the production line, no reason they couldn't leave them like it if they're as interested in producing an astro DSLR as they claim to be. Dave
  11. Does anyone the power consumption in amps of a cooled DSLR ? Dave
  12. Just had a quick browse through the 85 pages of this thread and wondered if anyone had tried small diamond discs on their Dremel as the buffing wheels seem ok for removing the matrix, maybe cut out the center of the glass and remove the edge separately,or just leave it and the glue in place, probably not hand held though need mounting so the height could be controlled. Still got my old 450d awaiting its fate once a definitive method is sorted Dave
  13. Hi Gina, bit off topic but I'm just messing around with a Tec12706 Peltier and wondered how you control it, I've seen it rated at all sorts of watts up to 90 odd so what governs this rating is it just the amount of heat you're trying to dissipate or is there some way of regulating it ? Dave
  14. I came across this problem when researching for a new refractor, was going to get WO 102 GTF but after reading posts on CN decided against it as I wanted a dual imaging, visual scope so got WO 110 FLT and WO F/R 1V and really pleased with it. Dave
  15. And there's me feeling guilty because I bought an IDAS LP filter Dave
  16. I think you're going to need a bigger boat, sorry box Dave
