  1. I am sorry Tim my heads all over the place, the celestron ota is slimmer than the vixen I was going to put the celestron`s rings on the vixen just to try it but they wont fit.
  2. To be Honest John I dont know I will take a picture of the label maybe you can find out from that. I know its an old scope. Paul
  3. Dont say I need those rings as well I have no idea what they are or where to get them. Paul
  4. Just sent for one of these just hope it fits. https://www.firstlightoptics.com/adapters/baader-125-to-364mm-helical-focuser-fits-vixen-thread.html
  5. Just need to find a adapter now all say 36.4 to 1.25mm , The chrome fitting is 41.5 internal and the piece that screws in is 42.7 Best wishes Paul;
  6. I should of packed it away when you said and sent it back too late now.
  7. Thanks Peter I have been told to put black electrical tape over it. Like this.
  8. No I knew it came with no attachments but I would of expected it to say it only had 0.965 attachment and did not take 1.25mm eyepieces. The dovetail and finder scope I can live with and there is no sending it back now.
  9. Yes someone must of had it apart the whole cell was loose and the glass inside was smudged told you I'm cursed if it can happen it will. really feel like taking the tip.
  10. Thanks John just replied I'm up the wall feel like chucking it in the tip. Measurements don't add up and like I posted to you this happened getting the cell back together. Feel like crying nothing goes right for me. Paul
  11. Ohh I cleaned the glass putting it back together this happened.
  12. Looks like it doesn't it I should be able to clean it myself. I have sorted the dovetail just need 2 M6 bolts with the right thread. Adapter wise I was looking at a baader one but its 36.4mm to 1.25mm yet the part it would screw into is 35.6mm.
  13. That I dont know being slightly different especially where the 1.25mm adapter would screw in as its 1mm out.
  14. This is the part that adaptor should screw into but as you can see the measurement is wrong. The screw thread that screws into the focuser measures 42.8mm
  15. I am just worried about the measurement when checking mine it reads 35.5mm as in the picture not 36.4mm. Thanks. I really want to use 1,25mm eyepieces as I have no 0.965 eyepieces. I have looked at that but as said to Peter the measurements dont correspond for some reason.
  16. Yes it is and I really should not of got it as I have been shafted before from them with the Meade 127mm, the flint and crown where the wrong way around and the focuser was plastic jumped around all over the place I got a Skywatcher dual speed focuser and had a adapter plate made cost me over £250 I really should never have sold that.
  17. All excited when this arrived until I unpacked it there are smudges on the inside of the optical cell maybe I can clean that Worse is it won't take 1.25mm eyepieces and the vixen plates I have don't fit it needs narrower ones.
  18. I need help scope turned up but my Vixen plates don't fit they need to be narrower but the worst thing is it cannot take 1.25mm eyepieces as you can see in the pictures can anyone help me please.
  19. Nice 1.25mm diagonal from Joe (badhex) go nicely with my Vixen 102M when it arrives.
