  2. That is a neat solution I have two barlow`s but none of them would screw in this adapter is for vixen scopes although I didn't think it would fit as the measurements were different.

  5. I've just seen a pair of those advertised for a £170 on the bay I have heard good things about them. I will have to check those objects out with my 15x70s see if I can see them. Great report thanks for sharing.
  6. Saw this in my 8" reflector in Buxton that was a great night saw the whale and the hockey stick and other stuff.
  7. Thank you for your email. We no longer have any replacement lenses for an old Vixen 102M achromatic refracting telescope. We are sorry we are unable to help you in this matter. Best regards, Vixen Co., Ltd.
  8. I have wrote to Vixen just in case there is anything they can do will keep everyone informed Thanks Paul
  9. No I am hissed off everything gone wrong have to see if I get any good views when I get the adaptor probably Tuesday now from FLO then just need either the sun out or a clear sky looking at the forecast doesn't look good.
  10. No it's not liquid it's two clamshell chips I am really hacked off about it. I cleaned them but someone has had them apart two separating tabs are stuck on the other is a bit of tinfoil. The crown tipped to one side as I put it in and jammed I tried going around gently pushing it when those two chips came off and popped out. The cell was loose when I inspected it so I knew someone had been at it before when I unscrewed it there was loads of metal fillings off the screw thread I had to blow all that out. I really should have sent it back and left alone but I thought it is a good scope I can clean the glass as I have done it before the glass was really tight going in took me numerous times to get it in. Paul
  11. Done thanks John also on ABSUK see what happens.
  12. I wonder if I could get new glass for this if anyone sees any please let me know.
  13. So the Vixen will be better even with the chips. Paul
