No not side by side but the APM is a fine performer and it was only a future long term medical condition that prompted me to narrow down my telescope collection and get a stick with it scope which I would have with the APM but I was lucky to be able to get the TEC I would highly recommend the APM 140 it’s a manageable scope the tube is a six inch so it’s looks like a huge scope but being a doublet it’s easy to manage you would have to look real hard to find any CA on any bright objects in focus the build and finish are top notch and premium I’d say like I said it looks and is better for the 3.7 focuser yes the TEC is better but 7k better no definite not if the deal on the TEC hadn’t been on I would have been quite happy with the APM .

I have the MEF3 micro focuser upgrade on the my wish list for my Tak FC100DF. I’ve gotten on well with the Tak standard focuser though would like the dual speed for fine focusing. There is still a bit of me that wonders whether it would be worth the wait and extra pennies for a feather touch though.
The More blue versions FLO sell are just as good in my opinion I had both at same time on different scopes and found them equally as good as each other and the more blue is a bit cheaper .

Congratulation! what a fine scope the TEC140 is, the phone shots look amazing so I can imagine what it was like at the eyepiece!

Just out for a few hours with my TEC 140 ED which I got a few weeks ago and what with work and back problems this is first time I’ve been able to get out and I must say WOW it definitely lives up to the hype just looking at the moon I see detail so clear and sharp the mountain range is like 3d and inside the craters is also so clear I’m able to pick out minute creators I couldn’t see before in other scopes . Had a look at Venus to nice plain disk slight shading but not much detail very pleased the wait was worth it bring on the gas giants . Couple of eyepiece camera shots of moon

Stu, I picked up Dweller25 (David's) FS128 last night and managed first light on Venus, which was nice as the last thing I observed through my first FS128 was Venus, so beginning where I left off. Anyhow, mine like yours came with only the 1.25" back, so I quickly removed the green adapter in the drawtube and replaced it with these, which I bought a few weeks ago from FLO. I seem to remember it was Telescope40 (John) who advised me to get these as they allow maximum inward focus for low power bino viewing.
I still needed to use a 2" extension when using a 1.25" prism for planetary, but not with a 2" diagonal.
Nice one Mike loverly scope

I’ve been looking for one of these for years, and never quite been in the right place, right time to nab one when they came up. This one was on eBay and managed to pick it up when travelling back from Dartford to Crewkerne last night.
It looks in excellent condition I must say. Optics are pretty good considering it’s about 22 years old! It has the original focuser which is very solid and smooth, though I may add an MEF for micro focusing at some stage. @F15Rules has also kindly shown me the correct adaptors to get me up and running with 2” eyepieces and binoviewers, in the meantime I’m limited to 1.25”. It also has the clamp which is solid and surprisingly light, and the excellent 50mm finder.
It’s a large scope, but seems very light compared with the LZOS 130mm f6. It will be interesting to do some comparisons between the two, but the LZOS will be looking for a new home soon.
Some poor pictures here taken last night, will post more when I get a chance to use it. Expect more cloud 🤪
Nice one Stu Chris Ropers one

No Postman, just me and Mrs W out for a drive and a walk around Ely for good measure this morning.
Say hello to 'Big Red' it can have no other name...Thanks to a Classified this week by @Stu1smartcookie and good timing on my part, a long term itch has been scratched.
A scope I have always twiddled with at each Astro Show but not quite made No1 on my list, well no longer.
It was a pleasure to meet Stu in person and chat astro, the new lightweight set up looks superb.
Baked Bean can for size as is the 150 f6 Newtonian...
From the serial number, clearly not many get sold.
Shame as its looking super in daylight, nice view of TV aerials, branches, birds etc.
Mind you a tad large as a spotting scope!
Oh and the AZ75 handles it like its not mounted as well.
Really nice Alan I had one great views
