As found on their website.
.. and our scientific work we do NOT allow vehicles OR remote-controlled devices on site. This includes hoverboards, skateboards, cycles, scooters and ride on toys etc and also devices such as drones, model aircraft ...

I had a FeatherTouch crayford on a C11 and the FeatherTouch Micro Focuser on a C8. The FT crayford is quite compact and light and didn’t affect the balance of the C11 too much.
Loved the FT micro focuser on the C8. Was a perfect match and made a huge difference to focusing.
For visual would go with the microfocuser but for imaging then the crayford is the way to go.

Should be close enough.
What are your phone settings? If you’ve got power saving enabled that could be rhe problem. Go to your advanced WiFi settings and select always on.

Although pleased with the way my SolarQuest mount is working it does have a small amount of play in the Az axis. Doesn’t seem to affect the tracking but thought I’d take a look inside.
Easy enough to open it up. Just remove the four small screws from the bottom and two more just above the saddle. Then slide the small plate in front of the solar sensor out and then lift of the main part of the cover off. There are some wires that plug into the board so gently remove the cover without pulling something loose.
Quite small motors in there but at least has brass gears. Not sure if it’s possible to tighten the AZ. Will take a closer look tomorrow.

No it won’t work. The Skwatcher version will only work with Skywatcher mounts.

I was looking for a proper notch not a tiny indentation that looked more like a scratch in the metal. However it does seem to lock in place.

Just checked The extension tube that came with my Solarquest mount And it doesn’t have any notches in the top of the tube and it can rotate easily if not really tightemed up.
As I’m using the tripod for mounting a worklight instead of a scope being able to rotate the top is an advantage. 😁

I have the 4mm, 7mm and 16mm Nirvanas and find they are excellent performers and as you say nice and lightweight.

Wonder how many people realise there were 13 signs of the Zodiac originaly not just 12. Ophiuchus (the serpent bearer) is the missing one.

Vibration damping is good but I only use two leg sections extended. With three sections 12kg is about right but much better with two. Bit more vibration when using the centre column fully extended but I tend to just use a short bit of extension which is really handy just to make those inch or two adjustents in height.
I did try a C8 SCT on it once. That was just about usable. 😁

Zeiss are supposed to be very good.
For Kimwipes it’s importing although painless by Amazon.

Have seen his work before. Remember them being mentioned a few years ago on the forum.
Very nice. 👍🏻

Found the info I was after on CN on focal lengths and pixel sizes. Apparently as the Daystar scope is effectively F15.5 the 290 should be more suited. Also will be using it on an F15 mak for lunar.
Agreed both cameras would be a good choice though.

Ah, not so bad then, does it split in two still? I guess I was thinking of the Goto versions which are heavier?
Yes the tube still lifts off..
I once did a truss conversion on a 250px using a Geoptik truss kit bought cheap on eBay. They no longer do the 10” kit though.
I got a telescope from my friend it is old and blurry how do i use it

Most of those old Sun filters just screwed into the bottom of the eyepiece. Incredibly dangerous and must never ever be used as they can crack or explode from the suns heat possibly blinding you in one eye.
if it is indeed one of those filters that screws onto the bottom of the eyepiece place it on a rock and hit it with a large hammer many times.
Proper solar filters go over the front end of the telescope.
