  1. Well you made me go back and check my images from my Esprit 150 that I took last month when it was below freezing but to my eye they look OK. When you loosen the screws is there a risk that they will be too loose in summer?
  2. Can I just confirm, that you are calling the Nina autofocus routine, not from the Hocus Focus plugin. If you have the plugin then NINA will use it whenever you try and autofocus.
  3. I also use the ASI 2600MC with the RASA 8 and love the results. However I also use the 2600MC and the 2600MM with the Esprit 150 and love those results too. As the advice above said, choose focal lengths that motivate you and let the pixel scale take care of itself.
  4. I have the current Cloudwatcher and Solo and I had to adjust the default rain and SQM values but the thing is rock solid and Lunatico is such a great company to deal with.
  5. I initially started installing fibre for all my external runs in SW France as we get violent storms and all our neighbours are forever replacing equipment that has suffered from lightning damage. Fibre not as susceptible to induced voltages in the same way as ethernet cable. I also like the fact the manufacturer will pop as many fibres in as you want and there is no real difference to the thickness. In France yo cannot bury electrical cables with Cat6, not that I would want to, but as mentioned, the mains voltage is not going to induce anything in the fibre. It seems daunting before you do it and after it seems the only sensible approach.
  6. Dear Gordon, I found this thread as I am 80Km south of you and am planning a 3m Scopedome. How are your domes performing?
