  1. I want this EAF also eventually on my 62ED. But i dont want to have the EAF on the fine focus knob. I want it like Stevie. Can that be reached with all parts which you get from ZWO EAF?
  2. I own an Evolux 62ED with the orignal flattener and rotator. Ill think the Evoframe will fitt the Evolux 62ED Flattener. All the same connections.
  3. @FLO I had an conversation with Stargaze about this also. Neither me (Evolux 62ED), and he (Evolux 82ED) have that blueish tint also. Below an 60 second light of M31. Red channel is elavated which you see in most lights. And its not an Achromat. Even FLO is telling me now that they dont consider this an REAL APOCHROMATIC. Guys really. The scope cost like 450 and 300 for the flattener. An simple 72 Achromat you get for underless than 200 dollar. Dont make you own versions of this scope. There is no scope between an Achromat or Apochromat. I can surely accept this will be cheaper glass with Apochromat lenses (FPL51/FK-61/FCD-1?). Lichtenknecker would never use BK7/F2, ZK9 or ZF4 achromatic glass in these scope. My guess is FK-61, FPL51 or FCD-1. All classed as real APO EDs. And if you want to be sure, we need somebody with an spectrometer. I Ive contacted Lichtenknecker also and they said the following: "refractors are designed with the lenses available, taking into account the wishes of the modern user (fast opening ratio). There is a big myth that is perpetuated on the net that only FPL53 offers the best color correction, I say this is not the case, only the combination of different glass types is relevant. There are Takahashi top models where no FPL53 can be found (or its equivalent from Hoya etc). It is therefore one of the arts of the trade to find those combinations. That is why Skywatcher does not communicate about this. Specifically, with the Evolux series, a balance has been chosen between price and speed and use: mainly visual (2'' compatible), also photographic with reducer/corrector. An honest visual user will find that the Evolux performs MUCH better than an ordinary achromat, because it does contain the ED glass needed for an apochromat. The honest photographer will also notice that the even faster Evolux with its reducer/corrector gives nice pinpoint stars over at least an APS format. The thing about which a lot of ink is flowing is that with the increasingly sensitive cameras, the blue correction to the violet, which is hardly visible to the eye, is somewhat less than the much more expensive Esprit series. The handy harry who works in our regions will therefore have no problem visually and photographically with his anti-pollution or UHC filter, and will be cheaper than the Esprit series, and faster than the Evostar series. For 409+319=728eur you have a fast 62 ED doublet with a custom more than APS sized doublet ED reducer/corrector. Furthermore, I do not accept unsubstantiated false accusations, and I have absolutely no problem with a third party proving that there are 2 ED APO elements in it. There is a lot of fake news on the internet..."
  4. Are you still in need for some other info after our PM?
  5. He Chibster, i am owning also an Evolux 62ED. I have also a little blueish tint in my photos, but not that much as you. Mostly purpleish, like in thoser others picture. You can all remove that with post processing. Dont expect to get a perfect color balanced photo out of a single DSLR frame. Will never happen. Atleast not with this scope and other scope below 1000 euro. Stack all images, do you darks and flats, and post process in PS, and you should come up something like this. The glass is pretty sharp compared to other scopes.
  6. Good choice on considering an Evolux 62ED. I am really happy with it at this moment. With my AZ GTI i can also 60+seconds unguided. But when guiding i can extend that to almost 3minutes. I think the SA2I is the same, only not GOTO. You need a good polar alignment. Do you gonna use the ZWO 224MC as main camera or guiding? I would take the Pentax DSLR for main camera and ZWO as guidecamera.
  7. Thats the sharpest running man and flame nebula ive seen to date .
  8. Nice Elp. Only like clouds here. And even when your see it clears a bit up, i put stuff fast up, and then clouds sets in again. Cant wait for spring 2023.
  9. my head is making overtime to interpret this scale, lol. I mean the the surrounding compared to the latitide scale. Now set at 38 degrees, it makes much more sense (feels right).
  10. Hmmm, thats why i never came unguided (when you need this scale) on my objects. I live in The Netherlands, which is 52 latitude. So you telling me i have to set it instead from 52 to 38? That i never saw this when i was guiding. In the darkness i just was watching Nina, and made the corrections for PA, and started photographing. Never watched the scale after. When i packed up my stuff, i put the wedge straight to 0 degrees so it fits better in my big tripod bag.
  11. They said, once tighten, it was rock solid right?
  12. Reset to factory default. How to reset: - Put your AZ GTI on some big battery. - Do not connect anything through cable or phone (wifi). - Put your AZ GTI on - Wait 6 - 8 hours (it reset itselfs after those hours if it did nothing) - After that you would see SYNCAN_XXXXX (on X numbers and lettters).
  13. Still waiting on my Handle, from Customs. Had to pay 10 euro extra since England break off from the EU, where we need to pay import costs. Hope to get it before christmas or before the end of the year. @Skyline, do you know something about the field rotator?
  14. Can you do something with the dimension i gave you? And be sure to remove that o-ring, and place the normal washer on top of the bearing washer. So Washer Bearing Washer Washer O-Ring.
  15. Ive opened mine. There are 3 washers and 1 rubber O-ring. 2 normal washers and 1 bearing washer between it.
  16. Recieved the Tec cooler. The tec cooler gets pretty cold when running. After few min you see already dew on the back the tec cooler. It fits on my Canon 60D, but i think it wont do anything to the temp inside, because you have the plastic casing. Then behind that you have the aluminium casing of the mainboard, and then you got the mainboard, and on top of that the sensor. These tec coolers are perfect for the ASI's camera without the PRO-model (Pro is with cooling). Ive putted the tec cooler straight on my ASI120MM-S, and after 15min the whole casing of the ASI was pretty cold. So as for DSLR. If you dont have a direct metalpad close to the mainboard it will do not much. Thats why you see if you search on cooled canon camera's, the whole backplating are removed, and copper is placed directly behind the mainboard. This way it will cool for sure, but you cant use this DSLR for daytime use anymore, which i do.
  17. Bought an Silicone DC Cable (Lynx Astro) from FLO for my Powerstation. I had a verry thin DC Cable before, which didnt feel right and with moisture problematic. The Silicone cable fits perfectly in the GT200. @AstroNebulee 5KG+ with Counterweights?
  18. Hmm the round one just dont fit. LCD is 58mm with an upstanding border. And the retangle one is to big also. I ordered one from AlieExpress which is 58.5mm, where i have to remove the outer casing to make it fit.
  19. What is the max outer diameter of the Black Shark? I search something for my Canon 60D which have a pretty large lcd screen.
  20. I have the 62ED, and use it for Astrophotograpy. I bought only the OTA last summer because i didnt had much money. Hope to get the flattener next summer. Last summer i could lend 1 week the flattener from my local astroshop. Only could take M31 at that time (less than 45min final). I think the optics arent different from the 62ED and 82ED. My geuss is FCD100, FPL53 or FPL55. All other older glass like FK61 and FPL51 you wont see much anymore in new ED scope. And Lichtenknecker as designer (they dont use cheap glass) is good also.
  21. Thanks, i bought the handle from FLO. Hope to get it soon.
  22. This is a small 45min+ final from my 62ED when i had a flattener for lend (1 week). I bought only the OTA that time, because i dont have much money. Shot with Canon 60D (ML Modified). Where can i buy only that green Handle Skyline?
  23. Do you know why they made a spring in there? Its to offload heavy equipment on the gears through the springs. When you stand behind your AZ GTI mount, with the power button facing you, you need to have play, when you push the mount to the left (counterclockwise). When pushing clockwise (to the right), there should be no play. If you screw in that screw to much and the springed loaded mechanism in RA hasnt no function, it wears out the gears way to fast (hence metal dust) when using equipment close to 3kg.
