  1. Don't worry, you are not alone 🤣🤣🤣
  2. Oklop bag is awesome, I just got one for my 200p DOB and fits in perfect ( Oklop Padded Bag for 200/1200 Newtonians)
  3. Absolutely nothing, zero, nie ma nic.... We have so thick fog at the moment, I couldn't see the dog the end of the 10m lead... looks like the next 7 days are going to be the same, so no meteor showers and no solar eclipse for me. I think it is time to buy a new telescope to make my mood better 🤣
  4. In our household we love postman when brings boxes with packing popcorn from Flo.
  5. Few BST Starguiders (only 12mm missing now from the collection) and some book. All second hand from a member. I got some very good price.
  6. I don't like this topic....made me want to buy the Baader zoom + barlow 😪 Just finishing my BST collection at the moment and already looking for new eyepieces. Just a question, anyone tried the Baader zoom for planetary imaging with phone attached to it?
  7. oh yes, long winter is coming...
  8. Uh, epic. Thank you Stevie. Good to know the right cable , so I am not going to fry any circuit board Looking the capacity of my PowerHouse, I think I am going to be able to run the dew heater from it as well.... Getting exciting this new project...
  9. Early morning start for me. Dragged the Dob outside at 3 o'clock and I was peeping in the eyepiece 3:30 already. Clear sky, but not ideal conditions. All neighbours decided to put the heating on (looks like energy price crisis still didn't touch them). Jupiter was quite low already when I started, got maybe 2 seconds of good view, tried to take some video, nope. Mars next. Super bright, I need some filters. Spent some time on the 7 sisters than moved to my current favourite subject, moon. 1 hour alternating between just enjoying the view and playing with the phone holder and Camera Pro setup on my phone. It was pretty cold outside, so my Raynaud's started to kick off and my fingers turned to be frozen frankfurters.
  10. OK, it is a dead topic, but lots of chat about powerbanks here. So I have an Anker PowerHouse 533. https://www.anker.com/uk/products/a1730?currency=GBP&variant=41462461235364&utm_source=google&utm_medium=pmax&utm_campaign=uk_anker_pps_conversion_pmax_powerhouse_purchase_ost&utm_content=powerhouse&utm_term={18132447793}_{}_{}&gclid=Cj0KCQjwnbmaBhD-ARIsAGTPcfXxtyE4e2q37klpor6mVEPZH2XCeY-pN6dHCnmn8NW9WqAn3o2f-2oaAn4sEALw_wcB Can I run the AZ GTi mount from this? If yes, what kind of cable do I need?
  11. Amazing, thank you for the answers everyone. So I spent the weekend reading up on this subject and where I am at the moment: - going to bite the bullet and stretching out the budget (hope Misses is not on this forum) - thinking on a SW 127 MAK AZ GTi ( has the tracking, also can be a good option as a grab and go if we are going to camping) - ZWO 224 MC I have a Dell XPS laptop, so that one is sorted. Barlow wise I seen many different arguments on it. At the moment I have a 2X BST. Do I need something bigger - better?
  12. This one has 3 settings and I started with my bino after the Outer Hebrides trip (was full of sand...). Done beautiful job, very pleased. After usual boring Monday calls and lunch, will test it on the drone....
  13. New cordless air duster to clean optical elements + drone gears. Picked it up from Amazon with some voucher, so worked out around £33. I wasn't expecting a hurricane machine, but have to admit, it is pretty impressive.
  14. I am itching for an SW 127 MAK as well.... I was looking the AZ GTi version. Which one did you get?
  15. I am just wondering, how is the 7 Pro going to preform... My S20FE need to be changed in the close future...
  16. After some DIY and late night mods, managed to fit the Celestron phone holder on my eyepiece. I am still not happy with it and never gonna be, but it sort of worked. Alarm went off 4 o'clock, dragged the Dob out to the garden and left it to cool down Started to play with it around quarter to five. Tried to take photos, but non of them turned out to be nice, I am doing something wrong 🤷‍♂️ As a last attempt, I switched to video. I taken this for the third attempt. I know it is far away from perfect, but for me it is beautiful 🤣 Turn to sound on, paired it up with a nice melody. Also, if you are not on mobile device, click on the full screen view otherwise it is more awful... 20221014_060611_1.mp4
  17. Thank you. Thanks God I asked first before splashed out the money for a DSLR camera... I am full on dummy (yet), I have a look on the ASI224. I can't see the sale section yet (still 3 days until the 30 days trigger), but I will contact sorrimen.
  18. Hi Peter, No, I don't, but in my understanding for planetary and moon shots is not necessary or is it? (saving up for some good gear, I will have £3k free up end of next summer which is going towards some good telescope)
  19. Hi Adam, Thank you for your response. I would say up to £450-500 with everything...
  20. Spending a fair amount of time outside in the past few days, I gave up on phone mounts. I can't find any type which fits on my StarGuider eyepieces properly and it is not good for my mental health and the safety of the people around me, trust me. I don't have a massive amount of cash to burn at the moment, but maybe enough to get a taste. I have a Skywatcher Classic 200 Dob and my goal is to take some good pictures (in my standard) of the moon and planets. After many hours of digging, I still have no clue what I really need to start. So please be nice (everyone nice here always..) and try to explain it, what shall I look for and order. Regarding the camera, I was thinking about to get a second hand Canon 6Da or 60Da for starter.... that is how far I got. What kind of adapter I will need? What about the eye pieces... Many thanks in advance.
  21. Today drop... Nice padded case for the tube and some optical cleaning kit from FLO. Now just waiting for my new dust blower from Amazon.
  22. Yes, it was in bundle.... shall I try to send it back without it?
  23. Sadly my Amazon Basic tripod is going back as the center column started to slide back and was impossible to tighten up. I am not heavy handed, but the thread on the column lock made of cheese (sort of soft cheese). Maybe I will invest in a monopod in the meantime... Sad day, because I really liked the pistol grip, it was also very handy on our wildlife watch during the Outer Hebrides trip.
  24. Perfect, just ordered the cleaning kit from FLO (and some other bits... and I forgot the brush 🤦‍♂️). I am really tempted with the dust-buster as I have a £20 off coupon for it...
